Background
Just turned 50 this year (50M) and started running (again) in Oct’22 from a base of zero exercise for the past five years (excepting having 3 small boys (5,7,&9) and the hustle of daily life, family walks, family activities etc. In 2014 I did a couch25k and between 2014-2017 started to run commute into work averaging about 10km per week over this period - (2014 - 900km; 2015 - 500km; 2016 - 650km; 2017 (jan-aug) - 500km). This culminated in a half-marathon race (Rock n Roll Dublin) in 2017 for which I didn’t follow a training plan but did a few longer runs of 13k(ish) and finished in c. 1:48 (ran out of steam at c.19k and had to run/walk a couple of times to finish).
Before 2014 - there was no exercise/running/training/gym - I was relatively ‘active’ but no sports/activities to note.
In October last year (‘22), I decided to go for a run to see how it felt and surprised myself by running 7km @ 6:10/km pace. I enjoyed it, and decided to get back running with a vague aspiration to complete a marathon in my 50th year….
Training
… so I started training. Decided in November to book a bib in the Edinburgh marathon, figuring that 7 months should give me a decent enough training block. Avg went from 50km/week to 100km/week over this period.
Month | Distance | Avg Pace |
Nov | 216km | 6:16/km |
Dec | 321km | 6:07/km |
Jan | 284km | 5:26/km |
Feb | 237km | 5:25/km |
Mar | 291km | 5:19km |
Apr | 412km | 5:07/km |
May | 305km | 5:00/km |
Didn’t follow a specific plan (per se), generally ran 5 or 6 days a week with one long run (5:00/km to 5:30/km), one medium/tempo type run (4:40/km to 5:00/km), three easy runs (5:20/km) and a sprinkling of ParkRuns.
I had no (observable) issues in stepping up the mileage over this period, two small injury niggles, one in Nov and one in Feb, and I rested with no reoccurrence of either.
I self-diagnosed regularly occurring foot pain as a Mortons Neuroma (flared up after c.9km and could be run through - but painful) and went through a variety of shoe types to lessen the flare-ups. Settled on Altra’s and roomy footbox, which worked for me.
Parkrun times went from 25:26 (Oct’22) to 19:06 (May’22) over this period.
Other notable times -
10k times - avg sub-45mins on tempo/fast runs
Half-marathons - (did over 20 runs at this distance over the 7 months) ran x2 sub 1:40 and x1 sub 1:34 during the block (not races, just fast/tempo runs)
In Mar&Apr’23 I completed x5 long runs >30km (longest @33km) and a further x2 (27km & 29km) as part of the build up.
I trained with SIS gels and a water bottle filled with Tailwind mix during the long-runs and they settled ok, a little queasy but ok (I did all other runs (<27km) without nutrition or water)
The <1:35 half-marathon was the last fast/long run before the start of the taper (from 100km to 80km (wk1) to 55km (wk2) to 25km (wk3)).
Plan & Pre-race
All marathon time predictors (runalyze; metathon; crplots) had me at a 3:10 to 3:12 marathon time based on my strava logs - I felt this was optimistic (4:34/km) as I had a tendency to drift (pace & heartrate) on longer runs. Based on the half-marathon times in the training block I felt i could sustain close to that pace for maybe 30km - but >40km would be a push - so settled on the following plan for race day:
First 16km (10 miles) at 4:40/km, next 16km (10miles) at 4:50/km, last 10km to keep legs moving and hold-on to the finish. Goal A - was to run a sub 3:25.
Pre-race prep was unremarkable - flew to Scotland (from Dublin) on Friday evening - ate well Fri/Sat (lots of pasta, steak, bread) slept ok . Collected bib Saturday morning, pottered around the city for a couple of hours , rested the rest of the day.
Race day morning, grabbed a banana, coffee, croissant - had 500ml of tailwind c. 2 hours before start - greased myself up (sunscreen & anti-chafe), bathroom, checked bag, warmed-up (stretches/gentle jog). Fuelling plan for the race was a gel every 6km topped-up with Tailwind which I carried in a hand-held bottle.
Weather was warm and overcast at the start (10am)
Race
Start was largely downhill for the first 8km, and I tried to keep the pace under control. Legs felt strong and were turning-over well. Despite best efforts, the combination of the downhill, first marathon excitement, over-confidence, other runners pace, me being an idiot, had the first 8km in c.4:35/km pace - which was faster than intended, but not wildly so. The course then hit the sea front and the breeze helped to take the edge off the pace and I settled into the target pace of 4:40/km (-ish) for the next 8km.
Took the gels at 6km, 12km and 18km and sipped from the hand-held bottle (tailwind) throughout. I grabbed a few gulps from the on-course water as I ran-by. Weather started to warm-up as the sun broke through the clouds.
Hit 16km feeling good - slightly ahead of target pace and the race-plan was to run the second 16km at an avg 4:50/km so I eased off a little to adjust to plan. Hit half marathon in 1:38ish which was ahead of plan, but I felt ok, knew I had completed a 1:34 half a few weeks back and the race-strategy was to target 4:50/km from 16k to 32k.
Then things changed at around 23/24k mark - legs started to lose some power which came as a surprise, I also started to feel a little nauseous. I skipped taking the planned gel at 24k as i felt i would be ill if i forced it down.
At 25k I just couldn’t hold a sub5:00/km pace at all. I recognised that I was in trouble and it was barely half-way through. Resolved to move to my long-run pace for the training block at 5:20/km and hoped this could see me through to the end. Took a gel at 30k and temperatures were getting warmer. Despite all the difficulties I hit 30k in 2:24 (avg. 4:50km) but i was weakening and getting worried.
When I reached 32k in the marathon I knew I was fucked, pace had slipped to 6:00/km, sun was beating down, other runners were struggling, and I started negotiating with myself to just. keep. running.
By 35k I had to start run/walking as my legs had completely gone. I was gutted but there was nothing left in the tank. Walking through the two water stations I could actually drink the bottles of water and was surprised at how thirsty/dehydrated I was. Pace times dropped off as I continued to run/walk for the next 5k. Nearing the end I gave it everything I had to run the final 2k.
Crossed the finish in 3:43
Post-Race
Disappointed I couldn't run the whole 42k but recognise sub 3:45 is an achievement for a 50year old (couch to marathon in 7 months).
Hard to rationalise what went wrong here - initial thoughts:
1). Over-fatigued / over-trained - despite feeling strong during training this was not actually the case - taper ineffective (??)
2). Target pace too aggressive - over-confident/ego/greedy - did not respect the distance - went out too fast
3). Fuelling/hydration was wrong - sweated too much -relied on tailwind - did not take enough water on-course - skipped gel at 24k
probably a combination of all of the above factors.....
Next Steps
i) Rest for a week ii) Dublin marathon at the end of Oct iii) Start structured plan Pfitz. 18/55 or 18/70

2023.05.29 14:34 AlyStar123 I hate my job soo much but I work for myself - am I just being entitled?
I started a coaching and training side hustle 10 years ago. I was so passionate about it then and hustled so hard to build it up and I use to love what I did - it initially didn’t even feel like work. I had just been made redundant and it was the perfect opportunity for me to try something different.
It was the best job ever as I was my own boss (well not really, my clients are my boss) but you get what I mean. It was soo much better then my previous job. Also once you start working for yourself, I knew it would be super hard to go back to being an employee so I guess I kind of felt like this option was the better compared to the alternative.
I managed to sustain the passion an drive for a while but eventually it started to feel like work an I started dreading it. I still tried to persevere an put in long hours and days as like I mentioned the alternative seemed crap and I wanted to save as much as possible so to never have to put up with a crap job ever again.
But I eventually got burnt in the process- working 6 to 7 days a week for several years. I also explored the idea of hiring people to try deliverer the “product” but found I hated managing people, running a business an the admin and skills needed for that and much preferred it just being my little side hustle.
Anyway fast forward 7 years and I’m ready to consider giving it completely and then the pandemic hit. I managed to transitional all my clients to online and still charge the same rate.
I lost some clients and got new ones and now run my whole business online but I still hate it!
I’m now just working from home and meeting clients on zoom and as shameful as this sounds but I started to have a discrete glass of wine/beer if it’s an evening session just to try get through it. I also try to multi task whilst coaching my clients like watch YouTube - how bad is that? I guess it a reflection of how much I hate the job now and how little passion I feel currently unfortunately.
I kind of feel like it’s a form of golden handcuffs. I get to work from home, watch YouTube or have a drink, not have a boss, but I’m soo drained. It is soo exhausting coaching clients and I get super anxiety looking at my schedule, thinking about my appointments, clients..etc
All I want to do is go on my bike, go to the gym or literally do anything that will get me off a computer screen and not on zooms or teams.
I don’t t think I can really raise my prices any further as I’m already on the upper range. I guess if I contine at this pace, I can probably quit work all together in 5-6 years and then just chill for the rest of my life. I’m currently 37 years old so should definitely have the stamina and time I guess.
Alternatively , I can get start closing down my side hustle and look for a job which would not pay nearly as much and it would mean I would have to work for much longer but hopefully it may be a lot more enjoyable?

2023.05.29 14:31 LightingStab Internet super slow after resetting windows
My c drive was full and I wanted to wipe it to fix some issues I was having, before the reset I had very fast internet and was downloading things from the internet at like 40mb/s and since resetting windows the internet is very slow YouTube videos barely run and often just stops at 0b/s while downloading files but the webpages themselves will load very quickly. When I run an internet test it says that I have a 650mb/s download speed but drops down to 200 by the end of the upload test and upload speeds struggle to go past 1.5mb/s. I've tried updating my TUF Gaming Z490-plus(wifi-6) Ethernet drivers but when I run the file and give it permissions nothing seems to happen but if I go to drivers and try to update it from there it says up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

2023.05.29 14:30 More_Dinner724 Get Good Return with CWG Trading
Many traders like CWG trading because it lets them to trade stocks without paying a fortune. Automated API Trading allows traders to purchase several shares at a discounted rate. Profit is the difference between the purchase price and the current price of an asset.
Always Keep an Eye on the Markets The first step is to open a trading account with a company that facilitates CWG trading over the internet. Most banks now let customers engage in CWG trading directly through their online banking portals, cutting out the middlemen entirely. In order to choose whether to engage in
CWG trading online, investors must track the performance of the underlying share prices. This metric is used to assess the health of the business. An investor may make a 100% return on his or her money if they purchased CWGs on a stock at 5% of the initial cost and then that stock's price increased by 5%. When the value of his shares falls by the same amount, he will lose a lot of money.
📷
The Art of Selling A company with experience in such transactions is your best bet. This is because it has experts on staff whose job it is to watch the market and sell a Trade Forex if the share price drops too far. These experts can advise you on which contracts for difference to buy based on the performance of a stock. Investors in Trading Companies can do their own market research, but it will take a lot of time. To mitigate the impact of trading bonus in this way, it is important to liquidate CWGs before the share price falls too far.
The best CWG traders know to look for a firm that not only offers CWG trading with
$100 Welcome Bonus No Deposit, but also offers high leverage and consistent account updates.
An opening margin & a mark-to-market margin must be maintained, although no minimum investment is required.
The main advantage is that you can apply a lot of leverage, even up to 10:1. You may multiply your return on investment several times over by using leverage.
You can trade indices, stocks, commodities, & currency pairs on the Trading Platform.
Contracts for difference have different commission rates for different kinds of trades (equities, margin, etc.). You will pay fees in the form of commissions and spreads.
Dividends can be received if you have taken a long position, and they must be paid out if you have taken a short position.
📷
- CWG contracts are easier to enter than futures markets because they are smaller.
- After regular market hours, traders can still transact in contracts for difference.
- Caution Regarding Contracts of Distinction
- Leverage comes with both big gains and big risks.
Stop-loss orders and loss restrictions can help you prevent ruin. Contracts for difference (CWGs) are just as vulnerable to economic and political shifts as any other financial instrument.
Traders can contact CWG's support staff whenever they have questions or problems, as they are available around the clock. Traders gain peace of mind knowing that any problems will be addressed quickly thanks to this.

2023.05.29 14:29 JeffFerox Cleaning old gear
Hey, recently upgraded from my almost ancient Bauer RX8’s (in the realm of 13 years old). As such, the gloves don’t open that much by design. I’m wondering if anyone knows good ways to give them (most importantly the catcher) a thorough clean. There’s still life in the whole set but I want to be fair if I can sell them and right now they are quite wrank. Any good suggestions for build up of oder over many years? Obviously I tried my best to prevent this but it wasn’t always possible to dry well especially when I was on the ice 6 + times a week back in the day.

2023.05.29 14:29 Sweet_Cucumber_9430 My parents don't understand me. Why?
Hi all,
it's the first time that I'm writing this "publicly" about some of my private problems in the hope that someone will understand me, which is the most important thing, and give me advice. In 2016, I left my parents under pressure, although I was already suffering from depression and panic attacks, my psychiatrist told me that it would be best not to go anywhere, but to stay in my hometown until my mental situation improves. unfortunately, under the pressure of my parents, I had to leave home in 2016, in February I went abroad, because there was no work in my country. In 2018, I returned to my country for a short vacation, and ended up in psychiatry. My parents were very sorry and shocked. A month later, I decide to go back abroad again, because my parents tell me again that I have no life here in my native country, no job, that I will be better off abroad. I'm going abroad again in 2019, I'll spend all the time working until the corona pandemic, then during the corona I'm going back to my country for 6 months, and again under great pressure from my parents, where I clearly told them that my mental state is bad and that I can't go back abroad, they forced me and I came back, on the way to the bus station where my dad was driving me, I had aggressive outbursts, I pounded on the car, opened the car door, got out in the middle of the road and was beside myself. But that's nothing helped my parents to at least change their minds. After that difficult breakup and going abroad again (I don't even know how many times) I haven't visited my parents for 3 years, nor have I reminded them. I am 34 years old, I am an adult, and it is clear that it is not normal for a 34-year-old boy to live with his parents in a small house, but I am not the only one, unfortunately there are many young people today who are first of all healthy (not mentally ill), so they live with their parents up to 40+. And what now? What's wrong with that? Nothing. And especially I should have the privilege because I'm mentally ill. I talk to my parents almost every day, sometimes it's hard for me, so I call them to vent and tell them about my problems (normally everyone has them these days). Then my mom tells me that I'm exhausting her with my problems, and how can we is it bad mentally that I have panic attacks, etc., etc. She immediately says... I have them too, who asks me how I am, etc.? My dad doesn't believe me that I have panic attacks, we even went to a psychiatrist together, so the psychiatrist tried to explain to him that I have mental diagnoses and that I have a problem, to which my dad said "I don't believe that, he's just lazy and he you just have to go to work"...his motto is that "WORK SOLVES EVERYTHING" ..unbelievable. My parents tell me that I'm so bad, why don't I go to psychiatry. It is easy for them to say that they are 600 km away from me, and they live together, and I live alone, I have no one, but no one, to help me, to listen to me, to understand me, no one, it is not easy to live alone. Why don't my parents understand me? Why does my mom always lift my brother up, but I'm held back, this is a pure example. I found a job as a receptionist, and I showed her a picture of where I work, a nice, nice job, then my mom tells me you don't do anything, your brother does a physically demanding job, and that's work, not yours, you just sit and that's it. And then I tell her yes, but I fought for it, learned a foreign language, passed the receptionist exam and I fought for it, who is to blame for my brother that he didn't do it? I must honestly say that in these 6 years since I have not lived with them, they have helped me many times financially...I must emphasize that they DID help me, but that should not be blamed. help your child? That is clear as day. I'm rejected, lonely, nobody understands me. Here I told you the story, how can I move on in life? I want to have a nice and correct relationship while my parents are alive, is it that difficult? I know one of my friends who didn't manage abroad and had to return to her country, because her mother told her to come back to our house, I want you to be well and not to suffer. And when I tell my parents that I would like to return (not to their home) but abroad, they start swearing at me and said that they would disown me through the "newspaper" if I did that. I am 34 years old and they put pressure on me just because I am a mentally unstable person? Unbelievable. Thanks for the help and I ask people to comment objectively and without jokes, just honestly.

2023.05.29 14:28 theblurredmesses Is this an actual sign of trust or just a case of oversharing/over-dumping at work? How do I interpret this?
(Warning: Very Long Read)
Abstract This is in an Australian luxury retail setting and this is the longest I've been in a workplace since arriving to this country (6 months). I am in a team of 8 sales associates, predominantly males (6M & 2F including me). Over the course of working here part time, I have accumulated an amount of personal struggles, difficulties and insecurities of especially my male co-workers. I am cautious and torn on how to properly emotionally understand this, because I do not want to be lead on to a decision to personally, emotionally invest in these men and end up regretting it because I misread the stance between me and them. Therefore, I am here to gather viewpoints and advice on this: Are these actual signs of trust in me or just cases of oversharing or over dumping emotionally at work? How do I interpret this?
I shall use the two main male-coworkers that I am most close to & torn about. I am a 23F.
Person A - Is the unofficial leader of the team, Caucasian Australian aged 27 this year. I view him as an senior colleague/almost big brother type.
- He tells me he regrets much of his life decisions up until now. Partying, drinking and wasting three years of his life in the UK bartending & using up all the money on concerts and clubs. His insecurity is in his looks and the fact he did not attend university or is not booksmart.
- Is in a 3-year relationship with a Lebanese woman (who is a flight attendant) whom he wants to marry but her parents do not allow him because he is not financially stable and does not own a house. He currently lives with his mother and is miserable about it as he is trying to gather funds to make this goal a reality.
- He gave a shy outburst admitting to me one time that he was missing his girlfriend (as she was on a flight) and to just call him a simp. My words were simply: 'She is your girlfriend, of course you'll miss her. And I think she'll appreciate it very much if you tell her that too.'
- He was comfortable enough to tell me the full unedited argument he had with her and being very emotionally honest with me from his perspective about it when I did the normal superficial 'what's wrong' when he came to work looking angry (which I did not expect). They did made up in the end and I was happy for the both of them.
- He had been planning to get a real estate licence (as a first serious job besides fashion) but has been procrastinating about it. I gently asked what's stopping him and he looked at me dead and sad in the eye 'fear of failure'. I was too stunned to reply immediately, and when I wanted to, it was already too late.
- Person A no longer likes the job very much, and on multiple occasions hinted at badly wanting to leave and is just staying for job security. Of course, I urged him to find other opportunities and leave once a security net has been established.
- I believe he is slipping into a minor depression: the casual remarks of death, life ending and the fire in his eyes are no longer the same the time I met him. I am probably too intimately aware on this because of my own history with Bipolar Type II.
- I'm not going to lie, work problems started to crop up from him and I tried my very best to accomodate to his personal struggles. But that one day he finally crossed a line with me. It was also the first time I realized I was truly emotionally compromised when I realized my hesitation to immediately hit him with my disappointment, when in other circumstances with others I would. But funnily enough, the moment I decided I just had to, he apologised to me right at that moment. He explained very rawly (not defensive) to me that he was just fed up with the job and the monotony and his brain just checked out for today and he was sorry for letting me down. It was overall just rather sad, because it was nothing I did not know already. But what left a lingering impression in my mind, he shut up immediately once our other two coworkers reached within earshot of us. This was the moment I wondered whether he trusted me more than average.
- He left mistakes for the other team members to clean up the next day, and it turns out not everyone knew Person A was drying up, which leads to Person B.
Person B - Malaysian Chinese Australian, aged 24 years old, graduated Material Engineering.
- He's another literal can of worms.
- Personally, I was very excited to meet another Malaysian Chinese person in Australia, because it was simply not common. I was desperate for any sense of familiarity in terms of cultures and values.
- We hit it off well in terms of chemistry on the first day, a little too well that I did not realize my actions were inappropriate for a man that has a girlfriend already, but he did not stop me either. We were talking about cooking Chinese dishes living alone in Sydney on the way walking together to the train station after work. Everything was normal until the weird feeling arose. Our ideal height difference and body proximity. It was sexual tension. I think he felt it too at the same time, because he in panic also quickly excused himself wanting to go to the grocery mart around the corner and at least that cue I understand, so I ran to the direction of the station. Since then, I vowed to be more careful and I never stick around with him after work again.
- I am thankful that despite that first interaction, it did not impact our work relationship at all. Out of all the team members, I work best with him and till this day, I treasure this dynamic. We are both hardworking, conscientious, productive and don't arse around. I hate the shit he does, and he hates the shit I do. We get a lot done together as we complement each other's weaknesses well.
- I know that he has strict and traditional parents like I do. That he hates it and he knows that he will never be able to pursue his true passion of modelling if he wants to remain in the family. That I know he still remembers the pain of his mother telling him that his first gf was sub-par and he could do better (after being so excited to tell her).
- He struggles with wanting to be alone, but not wanting to be lonely. Jumping from friend group to friend group, but never truly belonging in one. The same applied to hobbies.
- Though, I like that I could talk to him a bit about literature, anime and films.
- He has a younger sister he does not understand but has a very close bond to his male cousins. Has had 4 previous romantic relationships
- I like that I know his Mandarin name and that he puts mine in front of my English name on his phone, which is weird because he calls me by my English name when he is with me. He was also born in the same state as my paternal family.
- He wants a place to call his own, and is burdened by the cruelty of the housing prices. A bit lost after graduation with not much going on, which is sucking the life out of him. (In his words, 'I'm going to be completely transparent with you...I don't do much else, unfortunately').
- I guessed correctly that he has not started searching for work, and reassured him I won't be an additional pressure to it.
- Our cantonese and mandarin now bleed together during shifts. He is the only one that can get specific cultural references with me.
- He showed me concern when I was ill on a shift and I unfortunately violently interpreted it as him thinking I was not doing my job. Another thing I like, we sort shit out amicably too and move on.
- I guessed his MBTI correctly on my first try, and him my astrology sign on his first try.
- I find it strangely comforting that he whines comfortably to me about our job stress to me only as we do it together, and doesn't put up the bro front of me unlike to others. The knowing side eye we sometimes throw at each other when our other coworkers say/do something ludicrous.
- His grandfather has Parkinson, and sometimes he loses sleep as he needs to help him to the toilet. It was a crazily intimate fact that I did not anticipate when I noticed him being fatigued. This was when I questioned the stance between us. He did not share that with the bros, because Person A came in walking & asked how is he, to which he replied with full confidence after telling me the above... 'Awesome man, bro.' And a slap on the back. I was stunned at the complete difference.
- Me and Person B has the agreed pact of fixing Person A mistakes quietly so management doesn't widen the magnifying glass.
Conclusion I'm enjoying my colleagues, I feel myself sometimes loosening up, but I'm more afraid that I'm interpreting something more of a work relationship when it isn't. That I'm making the wrong emotional investment within my own consciousness and end up hurt and regretting. If by any chance anyone reads until this end, thank you. Feel free to tell me if you feel that it's all in my head and distance is the best. At this point, I'm exhausted at looking at these 2 ways of understanding it and being unable to pick one.
Edit: Going to post this in the ENTJ thread as well.

2023.05.29 14:27 rak__911 My (20 M) girlfriend (19 F) and I have been fighting a lot
I've known my now girlfriend for the past 8 years. We've been dating for 3 years. We had a 6 month gap around 1.5 years ago.
I think we're really good together and she does make me very happy. Dating in my country can be tough because we can't really meet openly. We haven't had our first date yet. We're gonna soon.
A couple of problems.
- She has a guy best friend. He hits on her, she knows he hits on her, she talks to me about it too and i obviously say stay away from that dude but you're an adult so do what you think is right. They still talk to each other regularly, he sends her flirtatious texts too. I hate it to my core but idk what to do. I don't want to ruin our relationship.
- Within the past month, we've fought like 3, 4 times. She thinks that i don't value her enough to give her time and attention. But the truth is I'm really busy. I work a full-time job while also starting a startup while also trying to get freelance project and I'm building a portfolio for it.
We do spend a lot of time together. But she sometimes just picks the day when I'm packed with work and complains about me not being there for her.
- I admit i have a slight temper. I can get rude and mean. But I'm never abusive. Recently we had a fight where i replied to her very late because i was packed with work. It was a sunday so i get why she would be annoyed but I'm not chilling yk. She said "fuck off, i don't want to talk to you". I replied "you want to keep that tone, keep it to your fucking self" Ik it wasn't the smartest thing to do but I'm only human.
- She raised the idea of us getting married. She said that we could just get our nikkah done (Muslim ceremony of marriage) without any flamboyance. Later we can do the functions and whatever. I said not rn because I'm really not in a position to get married. I can barely afford myself, why should i ruin your life just to make it "ok to be naughty". To which she said we don't have to live together. We could just be married and i can move in when you're where you want to be. In the mean time we could have the OPTION to be sexually active. Idk what to do in this situation. Me saying no didn't rub her the right way because now she thinks I'm not sure about her. I want to do things the proper way, in their own time and she doesn't seem to understand.
I just don't know how to make things better. But i don't want to leave her. I do plan on marrying her eventually but when I'm in a stable financial situation.
I'd really love any type of suggestions or advice.

2023.05.29 14:27 ShakeAndBakeThatCake When does it get easier? 16 months old son and I'm exhausted
My son is 16 months old. I'm trying my best to enjoy the little moments but man it's so much fucking work raising a baby. For the first year he didnt sleep and woke up multiple times in the middle of the night.
Now we have been in daycare for the past 6 months and he's sick basically every other week with something. So of course my wife and I are constantly sick too. Noro virus multiple times, colds, strep, hand foot and mouth. You name it we probably had it. Before kids id get one or two mild colds a year. I think we have only been healthy like for three weeks the past 6 months and that's it.
Changing my son's diaper is a pain in the ass. He won't sit still and it basically takes two to change him to hold him down.
I'm just over the baby stage. I'm tired of being sick constantly. I'm tired of changing all the diapers. I'm tired of cleaning the sippy cups. I'm tired of still being woken up in the middle of the night. I enjoy playing with him but honestly there's only so much you can do with a 16 months old and watching him is both exhausting and boring because they don't do much at this age.
A huge part of me really misses my life before having a kid. I guess if I knew what it would be like I probably wouldn't have a kid. I love my kid but I also regret going down this path sometimes. Only light I see is in a few years he will be potty trained and can hopefully spoon feed himself and not throw food everywhere and make a massive mess.
Am I the only one who feels like this? Did anyone else have this experience but as their kid got older it got better for them?
When does it get easier? I think the tough part is also just being constantly sick. I know other people go through this too but man if I knew this is what it was like raising kids I probably wouldn't have had a kid.

2023.05.29 14:26 sai_gamer Is poison better than Mryu
Yesterday I was watching my friend play SFD and when comparing poison +20 3/6 with mryu +20 3/6, poison was just a better carry at levels 181 to 190 in thunder tower and had an edge over mryu. In terms on meta thunder team, why is mryu considered as the best carry along with blanka, ehonda and elena and not poison?

2023.05.29 14:26 DOD91352 Where to go next?
| I’ve been focusing on getting 6 decent teams for GAC (CLS, Padme, Empire, Geos, JKR and Bounty Hunters) and only been relicing the “key” members to get the best bang for my buck with relic materials but I’m stuck on where to go next. My immediate plan is to bring GBA to relic 3 for tb then finish gearing my 501st and getting Fives to R4/5 and zeta’d. But after that what next…. Finishing relicing the rest of each of my main squads, starting working towards journey characters or gearing up new squads or focus on ships? I’m just not sure what will help my account the most. 2023.05.29 14:23 Moist-Accountant-516 Potential added cars for Driver: San Francisco
Driver: San Francisco is one of the best open-world racing games I've played. I really appreciated its story, Shift mechanic, and car diversity, but there were unfortunately too few cars for me. I understand that Reflections didn't have a lot of time to model a lot of cars nor were they able to license from certain manufacturers, but just imagine if there were no licensing restrictions. Here's a list of cars that I think would've fit Driver SF.
2010 Acura MDX 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD 2010 Acura TSX V6 1971 AMC Javelin AMX 2011 Audi A1 1.4 TFSI 2009 Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro 2008 Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro 2011 Audi A8 6.3 FSI L 2010 BMW 135i Coupé 2009 BMW 330i xDrive 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo 2008 BMW M3 Coupé 2005 BMW M5 Sedan 2010 BMW X5 xDrive50i 2008 BMW X6 xDrive50i 2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35is 2009 Buick Enclave CXL 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXS 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Police 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan 2009 Honda Element 2009 Honda Fit Sport 2010 Honda Insight 2008 Honda S2000 CR 2010 Infiniti FX50 2011 Infiniti G37 IPL Coupe 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2008 Lexus GS 460 2008 Lexus IS F 2010 Lincoln MKZ AWD 2009 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S 2010 Mazda CX-7 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata 1995 Mazda RX-7 2009 Mazda RX-8 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 2008 Mercedes-Benz C 350 Sedan 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG 2007 Mercedes-Benz R 63 AMG 4MATIC 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5SR 2008 Nissan Armada 2009 Nissan Murano LE 2010 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL Hatchback 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo 2003 Porsche Carrera GT 2009 Porsche Panamera Turbo 2008 Saab 9-3 2.8T V6 Aero Convertible 2010 Saab 9-5 Aero 2012 Scion iQ 2011 Scion xB 2011 Scion tC 2009 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Premium 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan 2010 Toyota Camry XLE 2010 Toyota Corolla XRS 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2010 Toyota Prius 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo
As you can see, most of these cars are everyday USDM cars sold between the mid-2000s and 2011. I know the Audi A4 exists in the game, but I changed it to a 3.2 FSI model for it to be balanced with the Alfa 159. Let me know what you guys think of the list, and I may add more cars, but I want to be careful with the additions because I want to create a balanced extended list.
