Hello! I have two 6 month old kittens that my partner and I adopted in January. Lately they have been jumping up on our table, and we are having a hard time getting them to stop.
We usually just use our stern voice and say “No” before placing them on the floor or couch, and we have tried putting aluminum foil on it but they both just sat down on top of the foil.
We are looking for ways to positively reinforce other behaviors rather than disciplining them for jumping on the table. They don’t know any better, so we aren’t looking to punish them.

To get away from the controversy of U14, I’d like take a second and talk about how I’d like to see Japanese and Italian forces added to the selection of baddies to HLL. Primarily seeing some jungle combat as the Japanese vs Americans/Australians. A feature I can see being used is the Japanese not having a medic but instead having every soldier have the ability (if they didn’t waste their grenades) blow them selves up when they press F to bleed out. This was a big fucking issue for GI’s in the pacific and it would make for a very different style of combat compared to the European maps

Just hit the 4mo mark and absolutely nothing is getting easier. I feel like it's been months of just struggling to be. My wee boy sleeps, at maximum, 2.5 hrs at a time at night, but by the time I get him down i have to keep my hand on him to prevent him from waking up after a few minutes and crying. I feel like I haven't slept at all every morning. During the day, he won't nap properly unless I'm holding him. To be honest that's probably the easiest part of my day, but still frustrating. It is what it is I guess.
I know he's probably hit the 4 month sleep regression, but before that he was an absolute nightmare from week 8 to 12. He had maybe one-ish week where he slept alright in between, and now this. It feels like it's never going to end. Each day is agonizing from the exhaustion and the constant crying. My 'good' days are in reality just shitty days that I now see as good by comparison.
Everybody keeps saying it gets better, but every point they say it gets better at just passes and nothing changes, or things get worse.
I can't feel the joy of being a mother anymore. I just feel like I'm being tortured, and all I can do is go through the motions every day, savour the very few blinks of sleep I can, and hope the next day gets better. It never does and that hope is shrinking.
I want to see my parents and friends but I don't have the energy to be social. I want to go for a walk but I feel like I'm going to pass out after 2 minutes from the exhaustion and back pain from pacing around rocking my inconsolable child. I want to have a shower but it's so draining, and I hear phantom cries the whole time. My husband takes him so I can nap and I can't sleep because I have such bad anxiety about the tortuous night that is ahead of me.
Yoga used to be my therapy and my place of peace, and I can't even do that anymore because all my free time I am crippled by anxiety or completely exhausted.
I hate this experience. There is no beauty in it, and I don't care to relish in these moments like everyone says. If I could blink and be a year away from now, I would. Although at this point it seems like it will never ever get easier or be fun again, might as well blink 20 years into the future.
I don't know why I'm posting this. I guess I just needed to vent.

I'm a rookie writer who got a cool idea for a book and I'm currently brainstorming various ideas to create a detailed plot. While I was reasearching about 1600's Venetian nobles I found a noble family that suited perfectly the type of family I wanted for my main characters to descends from. That clan wasn't very big and it gained its status thanks to a payment to the govern (a thing that many, many rich families did), and that (main) branch of the family died off in late 1700. Then I discovered that side branches still have descendants living today, without noble-like status or anything bringed from that era, but aware of their origins. Now my question is, how much freedom do I have about using their family name, herald and history (prior to 1700)? I don't know much about legal stuffs in creative creations but I want my work to be respectful (and legal) in the case I somehow end up actually writing a book that will end up in the market. OK, so my ADHD hyperfocus just went into overdrive and I decided to create a rough flowchart thing of my entire POD and marketing process, so I thought I'd share it in case it helps anyone else, especially those new to this crazy world.
Disclaimer - this is just how I do it, and while my current store is very new, I do have heaps of experience in just setting up systems, basic online marketing at the new biz stage, social media and other stuff. I also just kind of fancied putting my process into a visual form so I could look back at it on days where hyperfocus doesn't want to kick in and I can't remember what to do.

I am in the process of building a new pc from scratch, it will be used for gaming mainly, and i am stuck deciding between three different GPUs, two from Nvidia, one from AMD, being :
Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X (price ~1140€ where i buy)
MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Suprim X (price ~1400€)
PNY GeForce RTX 4080 XLR8 Gaming Verto Epic-X RGB Triple Fan (price ~1300€)
I've chosen these three because I have heard good things regarding these manufacturers in terms of quality, and because they're some of the quietest cards on the market (which is important for me).
I am pretty certain it will be one of those three cards, so i am not looking for any other suggestions, and i am also pretty certain about the rest of my components, so those also wont matter here.
But what makes this decision difficult for me is that i really like raytracing, and i know that this is where nvidia cards shine the most, but i wonder wether a high quality XTX (which the Nitro+ seems to be) might be enough for me in terms of raytracing performance, as AMDs recent cards have improved a lot in this regard.
I have read dozens of reviews too and cant seem to make up my mind, especially as the price differences are quite large, especially going from the XTX to the 4080.
So the summary would be pretty much :
Would the 7900 XTX Nitro+ be 'good enough' for raytracing, and if no, should i choose the Suprim X or the PNY especially when it is important for me that the card is quality (i plan on keeping this system for many years to come) and quiet, seeing that both of those card should fulfill that requirement from what ive read.

I hope that the Bungie developers and all involved with Destiny can get involved too. I’d love to have their insight as well as the community members.
Cayde-6 returning is fantastic but I can see why it had to be done and it’s purely because of the unexpected and huge loss of Lance Reddick. Bungie never ever predicted to lose Reddick as it happened. First, my thoughts to all affected with his passing.
Bungie has had to surely bring back Cayde-6 and Nathan Fillion in a way it works. From this teaser, Ikora is the only one so far that found a way into the portal. Maybe our Guardian too either before or close after to what we saw in the teaser.
I have had a theory that Ikora and her ghost before going through the portal transmatted Cayde-6 after Zavala dies, feeling alone. With Sloane returning and taken over Zavala’s role as Commander after his death, Ikora still don’t feel herself without Zavala or Cayde-6.
In a bid of hope what’s on the other side of the portal, she and the ghost go through the portal successfully. She then sets up a campfire and small camp seen in the teaser. Ikora asks the ghost to transmat Cayde-6 on the ground. She pulls out a mug which has blue liquid in. Nearby is the River of Souls that Cloudstrider Nimbus mentioned to Osiris.
Ikora mixes the blue liquid with the water from the River of Souls. She starts to pour this liquid through Cayde-6’s mouth. Also nearby is the shattered Ace of Spades. She starts assembling the gun with the liquid. To her amazement, the Ace of Spades sticks together as it used to be with a bright blue glow. She then sees Cayde-6 returning to life and also repairing / healing himself.
Cayde-6 then gets up and sees Ikora. “Ikora! I’m so glad to see you. How long have I been out for the count?”
Ikora took a while to respond still looking shocked but her depressed state still shows. Finally she replies, “A very long time, Cayde! You missed a hell of a lot.”
“Care to give me a full debriefing?” Cayde-6 asks. “I don’t know where to begin! Ikora says.
By this point the dialog in the cutscene from the teaser comes in.
While they are both in through the portal, Sloane and the others are worried Ikora didn’t make it and tried their best to communicate with Ikora over the secure communications without success.
Sloane then assigns the Guardian to investigate whether Ikora was successful or not and was told to report back.
What I will say is we all do not know as Destiny players the theories what happened to The Witness at the point. Will we find out with the seasons between Deep and Final Shape? I hope we do get the insight.

I’m going for my first US run in a long time, and in doing a dry run for preparation I have some questions. I intend to get Gus Hall into power.

1. The Guyana crisis just…doesn’t seem to happen. Has it been removed?
   
2. Do I need to fail all interventions? (Puerto Plata, South Africa, Philippines, Indonesia, etc.)
   
3. How should I manipulate elections?
   
4. Lastly, the old guide seems pretty outdated, is it still of any use?

I've started driving lessons, just had my 8th hour and I feel I'm progressing quite slowly, still quite nervous on the main roads. My instructor frequently grabs my steering wheel, and has his foot on the brake all the time, and does actually brake for me quite a lot which is really annoying.
I'm doing cross roads and junctions at the moment. I think the reason behind the slow progression is I have no access to any private practice whatsoever, my parents don't drive, I work a full-time job, and my friends either don't drive or live very far, so I can't use theirs.
So, I'm essentially getting 2 hours less than one weekly at the moment. Is there any solution to this, like a company that rents out cars specifically for drivers? Is there anyone else that's been in a similar situation, and where there any solutions?

I currently have a 2tb seedbox from seedhost.eu. At home, I have a 10tb NAS with all of my downloaded media on it, however my upload speed sucks, hence the seedbox. Is it possible to attach my NAS share as an external drive on the seedbox and use that for storing the media that I am uploading/downloading? That way I have plenty of storage with all of my media being uploaded and downloaded from the seedbox but being stored on my much larger NAS? Also, since all my media currently uses up more than 2tb and it would be nice for all the media I am hosting to be uploaded using the seedboxes gigabit speeds rather than my own 14mbit upload speeds.

I use troches so this happens to me often. Does anyone feel extremely depressed or just like shit the day after you do your treatment? I don’t know if it’s my brain being exhausted, or depletion in brain chemicals, I always feel tired and so low. Then usually two days after I start to feel better and then I’m back to normal with a bit of mood improvement. Sometimes it’s horrible depression where I feel like it’s work just to get out of bed, other times it’s just mid grade. Does anyone know how to combat this or have any supplement suggestions?
It also sucks that I get time and half at work today and I just don’t feel like doing extra hours which is what my plan was since I’m saving up for IV Ket. Any motivation would be helpful!

I'm 24, 175 pounds.
About two hours ago I was just playing No man's sky, while wearing over ear headphones, when I suddenly noticed my left ear felt lots of pressure and sound was muffled quite a bit. At first there was no ringing or anything other than the pressure and sound loss, but about twenty minutes later I started to hear loud hissing, up until about 30 minutes ago it has turned into a very loud high pitched ring. Currently I'm only experiencing the ring, with slight pressure in my left ear only, no increased dizziness or nausea.
I don't think my sound from the game would have been loud enough to cause something like this, even the loudest things in-game wouldn't be loud enough that I'd want to take my headphones off.
I have been having off and on ear ringing that lasts about 20-30 minutes at most for about 5+ years so far, but nothing this extreme, and usually never with pressure. Though, for about six months I've been experiencing dizziness and nausea at irregular intervals that can last between 1 day and two weeks, but this never occurs with the ear ringing and pressure. I'm thinking I may have an inner ear infection that has been lingering for too long if that's even possible.
I do have a little camera I use to look inside my ear for earwax in case I need to use debrox or something for impacted ear wax, but this doesn't seem to be the case . I can use the camera to take a picture of the affected ear if anyone has suspicions and needs a photo of my ear drum.
Sorry for the wall of text, just very unsure if I should just wait this out or if it's something concerning enough to head to the ER ( I'm unable to visit a doctor or visit a walk in clinic at the moment due to financial limitations )

More of a rant than a field report, to be honest.
Grandma is a sweet but lonely 71 years old. She's got her own house, a good enough pension. She's somewhat computer-literate (can open and read emails, install stuff, use whatsapp and navigate the web with ease, as she was a librarian until 2015). But she's not really into the details, very naive, and extremely lonely (she never married, lives alone and while we visit very frequently she gets depressed and needs attention or help with common tasks often).
Today my dad (she's his mother-in-law) went to visit her and the phone rang. It was a crypto scammer from Singapore, working for Crypt*.com, who had asked to talk to her. She, at first, didn't want to talk in front of dad and quickly closed the phone call. Dad inquired and she confessed that she spent 100€ into the website "just to see how it goes". He warned her about it and then asked me to call her as he figured I would be better equipped to explain.
Fortunately my Grandma is very ecologically-minded so simply describing the footprint of the blockchain and how wasteful it was was enough to giver her pause. I went on to explain the genesis of bitcoin, that it was built as a reaction to the 2008 in favour of less regulation, not more.
This can segway nicely into the fraud and lack of transparency inherent to crypto, and how it's used by ransomware. Mentioning that ransomware very often targets hospitals and clinics was also pretty good in getting her to react. Final nail in the coffin was talking about FTX, Binance, the general shadyness.
I concluded by asking her to think for herself - would her regular bank call her from Singapore of all places ("But he tells me he comes to the country from time to time..." "That's a lie Grandma!"), and would her advisor call constantly to talk about investment opportunities if she only had deposited 100€?
So fortunately I was able to make it a near miss (she's still put 100€ in it, hopefully, she can recover them), but all the elements of the scam were here. She mentioned that her 100€ ballooned into 122€ in 10 days, which I had to explain was a) absolutely unsustainable b) driven by fraud. She also mentioned how her "advisor" from Singapore kept talking about interest rates, how low current accounts were giving, and how "your bank is using your deposit to pay off the executives", which hit a chord in her. Fortunately, as we are not in the US, he didn't talk about the impeding financial crisis but I am sure that if he felt he could play that card, he would have. I explained to her that, yes, our banks are sometimes scummy and a crisis is going out out there, but Crypto is infinitely worse.
So here. Scammers targetted my 71 years old grandma and it was only by chance that me and my dad got ahold of it and stopped her in the act. She didn't even want to talk to us about it and wouldn't have brought up the subject if Dad hadn't picked up the phone. I'm very mad at cryptobros. The entire industry can't collapse soon enough.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me find an old post on the sub from several months ago.
It was from a post that was talking about his or her own personal dream symbols for dream anlaysis.
They had kept track of all of their dream over years and was able to link them all together through what I remember being a computer program.
Each symbol had been linked to the other times that the same symbol had been in other dreams, it was a wild post and an amzing concept to see as an image with all the lines mapping out the connection of symbols across multiple dreams.
I've been I analysis for thr last 2 years and really want to work on taking my own dream analysis more seriously with the hopes of some discoveries, and am intresyed in pursuing this method/program to use myself.
If anyone remembers the post or would interested in helping me rediscover it I would be incredibly thankful.
