Been researching on what pc parts to get and from where. I've started saving up and plan to build this build, but I would greatly appreciate insights on ways to lessen the cost of this build! Note: Is 6700xt too much if I just use 1080p 144hz or is it necessary to upgrade to 1440p? I currently have a Samsung 1080p 60hz monitor and plan on selling it to either upgrade 1080p 144hz/165hz or move to 1440p. Thank you in advance for the suggestions.

What I'm hoping to find is some sports game - any sport really - with a strong storyline and things like XP/Skills to build a character as part of the career mode?
I loved the career mode in MLB 2k10, for instance, but I feel like there's got to some some sports game out there where you really build up a character and go through branching storylines, etc.

10 years ago, I found out my husband (a minister) was on drugs and selling it in our very small town, population about 1,000. I was stupid to think the cars stopping in front of my place where looking at how cute my house was. No, No, they were there to buy drugs. I caught him selling it one day when I forgot my purse and had to quickly turn around to get it. Anyway, he works for a very large prominent business here in the area..
The first job I applied to after raising my kid and finding out I'd be on my own (was a sahm), I was hired and everything was falling into place to start work in a week. Processing ebay listings for a large local business. They were just waiting on my background check. two days after I submitted my information for the background check, this business completely ghosted me. I tried calling them to get info on what time to show up and they wouldn't even answer the phone. They blocked my phone number, it rang and rang no matter how many times I called. I never heard from them again. I didn't care enough to march down there and demand an answer. I was honestly all set to start. I should have demanded a reason.
Second. Applied for work at the college in my town. I would be working with the chief of police's wife and one other woman. Again, when they ran the background check and the two women I worked with completely changed tunes and began acting scared of me, talking in whispers around me. I did get the job, though, but it was only part time. They always kept their distance from me.
I finally found work at another company 1hour and 15 min away in the nearest big city, background check and everything, no problems. I still work there and love it . I also volunteer, and passed that background check just fine. That involved every type of legit background check there is.
Fast forward to today. My kid is now a teenager. He applied for a job at a local store. They LOVED him and begged him to work there because he's smart and good with people, hard working. He worked last summer at a different business and they loved him. He started work at the new place, but he needed to do a background check within two weeks after starting.
The woman who was in charge there began acting like she was scared of my ex-husband and I when we went to sign some papers for the kid. The manager's voice was inexplicably very nervous. It was so odd. My son noticed before I said anything. "Mom why was she so scared of you guys?) She pretended so many times to fumble with the background check; she asked my son if it was possible that he shared a name with another family member. No, he has a unique name. The manager kept pretending to fumble so much with that background check, stalling. Well, after he had worked there 4 weeks, they inexplicably fired him. the manager lied and said I had refused to sign the background check authorization form, but she never told me to check my email, or that it was even being sent! They also made up another complete lie about something he did, which would be video. I did a search in my gmail after the fact, and I had the email in the inbox from 1 week before he was fired. They had been fumbling with that background check for 3 weeks. One other thing, is a few days before he was fired, they changed his schedule overnight in the app that does the scheduling. It appears they were trying every which way to find a way to fire him, but decided against that one.
I know that small town people can be weird and awkward, and this whole thing might boil down to me being a race that isn't white and everyone in this town is white, but I just wondered:
Have you ever heard of a secret or private, small town "background check" that involves some key prominent businesses who know things about people that wouldn't be on a background check? I KNOW my son doesn't have a record, and I KNOW I don't (I passed an extensive volunteer background check recently).

Let me apologize first since this is going to be a long story. Cut to a year back, I was dating this guy from our friend's group. I had to keep this thing a secret from the entire friend's group because he said so (I know, dumb move on my part). Gradually, I started realizing how he was always busy and blamed me for every bad thing happening in his life. He stopped taking my calls and I was so worried that I had to confide to my best friend and her boyfriend to contact him. Both of them supported me a lot during the entire time and helped me a lot after the breakup as well. Things started getting normal for me. They introduced me to one of their friends who apparently developed feelings for me. We became close friends and genuinely, I liked talking to him for hours. We started dating long-distance since he had to move to another place for work. The relationship did not last long because we could not communicate properly. I was devastated and even then my best friend tried her best to fix things between us and she supported me. He was too adamant to say that he does not want to see me or talk to me ever again. At this point, I started feeling like I am a burden to her because I am putting her through a lot. Plus, I have been neglecting my career a lot so I decided to stop hanging out with my best friend and our other friends every day and focus on my studies and work. I attended a few parties and dinner sessions and that somewhat made her feel betrayed. We had a lot of argument posts regarding my abandoning her. She did not like that I was distancing myself and it might make me more sad. I started hanging out with them again but she was not happy about the fact that I was talking to other people in the group as well. She wanted my full attention. That somewhat made me distant from her again. Every time I hung out with the group, people were making comments about my past and how I always get close to guys around me. I could notice a pattern here so I confronted my best friend. She was super rude to me and started telling me how I always give my attention to guys and ignore her (definitely not the case, I had been taking my downtime to deal with things at home). Recently, I was invited to a birthday party and she kept on asking me to come. It was my dad's death anniversary that week so I was not in the mood to enjoy but still due to her continuous persistence, I went to the party. Her friend was there as well and I was not aware of it. That night, I went back home and told her how it made me uncomfortable to see him suddenly at the party after 3 months. She told me that he is okay being around me now. I told her that at least she could have given me a heads-up that he is coming. She called me and started yelling at me, how I always react to things and that is why my ex broke up with me and she and her boyfriend told me over the call that I have some mental problem which is why I always seek attention from guys and I do not like being single. As much as I want to get into the main story, I felt like this was needed. Enjoy some:
{First Contact}
[Transcript from the ’Tales of the Theseus’ audiobook, written and narrated by former captain Alexander Keolan]
12th of April, 2119. In less than a century from Humanity's last war, we detected what could only be encoded signals from a source orbiting a gas giant. Being the captain of a surveying vessel was practically a career-killer, but I didn’t care. That sliver of a chance, to find something, someone, out there? It was worth the decreased salary. If only first contact had gone smoothly.
The Theseus was no mighty ship, having barely any armaments except for some point-defense, and its armor definitely could’ve been improved. Being a retro-fitted version of an older vessel, some of my crew used to joke that it was straight from the Fusion Wars^\1]). With some of the issues we faced, I was inclined to agree.
Every now and then the drive system would just… stop working. It had a cool-down time to prevent an overload, but every other jump it would shut itself down, and we had to turn it back on with a hammer and some prayers. Issues aside, the Theseus was a good enough ship for me.
Then the drive stopped working entirely.
We were stuck inside a red dwarf system, with only a few planets and a single gas giant. To say I wasn’t scared would be a massive lie. The engineer, Matt Udrey, tried to hammer it back into function, but this time, the hammer remained attached to the drive core.
That was the moment we thought we were fucked.
While survey ships do have increased cargo capacity assigned to rations, back then we didn’t have access to the FTL comms we now take for granted. We were dead in the void, stuck in a star-system and only able to use sub-light thrusters.
Since the drive core was done for, engineering decided to redirect power to sensors, hoping to find somewhere safe to survive. However, instead of finding a landing site or viable orbit, we detected what could only be an artificial signal from the orbit of a gas giant.
We couldn’t figure out its contents due to the massive collapse in signal quality that we suffered while nearing the gas giant, but it gave us hope. A lot of it, in fact. Setting course for the signal, Survey Officer Jay Walken continued to update me and the crew on the signal's content as we got closer.
After an hour of constant burning, Jay informed me privately of the signal's contents. It was a repeating sequence, what I then believed to be akin to our SOS signals.
They were fucked, just like us.
After another hour, we could now see the unknown ship's thrusters firing, but they were flickering, as if out of fuel.Then we stopped seeing their engines altogether. They were trying to burn towards us.
I heard some of my crew utter prayers of various religions, and I proudly admit I joined them. The sound of prayers was broken by Jay.
“We just got blasted with various signals, Captain!” “Are any of them recognizable?” “No, Captain.” At that moment, I felt awful.
I know I should’ve been happy, that signal bombardment was basically handing me a Bridgebuilder^\2]) medal, but at that moment I only felt pure anxiety.
“Send the Golden Record, Jay.” “Are you sure, Captain?” “Absolutely fucking not. Do it anyway.” “Aye aye.”
Jay's finger trembled on the comms console as he sent the Record, a modernized version of what Voyager once had.
“Sent, Captain.” “Now we wait.”
An hour passed, and by then the ship could be seen with the naked eye. It didn’t show any visible armaments, which was my first concern, but also didn’t seem to have any external radiators. At the time, it seemed they were way more advanced than us.
Even in a technologically advanced society, engines were still shit.
The ship was sleek compared to ours, with various curves along its hull. The strangest part, however, was the reflective material on the flat portions of the hull. As we waited for their response, Jay focused our sensors on that part of the ship, and we could see very small droplets of something being released into the void, and subsequently being brought back by magnetic fields. Engineering’s curiosity was piqued, and so they redirected our cargo-bays power to the sensors.
The droplets were releasing heat into space, then once cooled, would return to the ship, while the reflective part prevented some of the radiation from flowing back into it.
“Fascinating… a radiator like that could be placed on any part of the ship, and its loss would be insignificant compared to the whole…” Safe to say, the Chief Engineer was wide-eyed with excitement.
“Captain, transmission incoming!” “What’s it say?” “It’s another… Golden record?”
I was completely baffled. On the screen was an identical copy of the Golden Record packet, but with everything being replaced by another species.
“Space crows….”
Jay got to deciphering the packet as fast as possible, but apparently he didn’t need to.
“Warning, system intrusion detected. . . Activating the intercom system.” “This is the Kraytal of the Stellar Wind, are you able to understand us?”
Deathly quiet.
“It seems they’ve already translated English…” “That quick? Captain I’m sorry, but this just seems like a fluke.” “Send an affirmative, immediately.”
A moment later…
“That’s great! It seems your literary collection was quite a boon to bring, humans.” “Hello?” “Yes, Hello to you as well, Human. I am Kraytal Onyx-Drey^\3]), of the Sky Breakers Republic. Your closest equivalent would be ‘Captain’.” “I am Captain Keolan, it is good to see you. It seems we’re not the only ones having issues, are we?” “You would be correct, yes… Our engines are not as good as they used to be.”
Ah, the greatest way to connect with anyone: shared hatred of shoddy spacecraft construction.
“Our drive has malfunctioned as well. We cannot exit the system anymore.” “We would be able to tug you back to your system, but you would have to push us to a proper warp point.” “That would be… great, Kraytal.”

Demographics: White, lived in New Jersey my whole life in a middle-upper-class family. I attend a very competitive high school: The average SAT is around 1450, and around 7/60 kids per grade get into Ivy League Schools
GPA: 3.87 UW/4.37 W
Class Rank: My school does not do class rank since it is a specialized high school for gifted teenagers.
Coursework: Every class I have taken at my high school is AP level, but it is not an AP class. In other words, it is not labeled as an AP class but I have taken three AP exams without studying for them and got 5's on all of them just by taking the class. I also have 12 college credits from taking certain classes throughout my high school career.
AP Tests: 5 on the AP chemistry test, 5 on the AP Environmental Science test, and 5 on the AP Human Geography test.
SAT and ACT: 1480 (780 Math/ 700 English), 32 ACT
Awards: Nothing notable, won a county science fair for an independent research project freshman year, and I have the biliteracy seal for Spanish.

The first part covers the basics of film scoring, including the history of film music, the different types of film music, and the role of the film composer. The second part of the book is more technical and covers topics such as spotting, synchronization, and orchestration.The only downside to On the Track is that it was published in 1990. As a result, some of the information in the book is now outdated. However, the vast majority of the information in the book is still relevant, and it is still a valuable resource for anyone interested in film scoring. Also, the book does not come with any audio tracks, but you can find many of the examples discussed in the book on other sources such as YouTube.

Eu tenho medo de não "passar" e ficar muito feia. E eu sei q isso vai parecer cruel, mas existe uma grande diferença entre uma mulher cis considerada feia e uma mulher trans considerada feia. Na primeira situação, quase absolutamente ninguém diria que aquela pessoa é homem (por que não é mesmo), mas na segunda, várias pessoas vão dizer. Não que mulheres trans sejam homens - elas não são - mas esse não é o ponto, o ponto é que mesmo os "allies" e pessoas não transfobicas em geral ainda pensam/sentem, lá no fundo, que aquela pessoa não tem uma aparência feminina de verdade. Neguem o quanto quiser, mas é a verdade, e essa verdade me incimoda pra crl
Eu sei que beleza é subjetiva, mas toda subjetividade existe dentro de um espectro "bem" definido. O que é uma mulher feia hoje provavelmente não vai ser amanhã, mas em qualquer época, julgando apenas pela aparência, seria uma "mulher"
isso me causa uma sensação muito ruim.. eu sei que "todos" a minha volta estão sendo suportivos, mas ao mesmo tempo saber que essa suportividade tem um fundo de auto ilusão - uma espécie de se forçar a convencer a si mesmo que "minha amiga parece sim uma mulher", quando claramente não parece e a pessoa claramente sabe/sente/pensa isso lá no fundo, é revoltante. E o pior de tudo é que isso é, de certa forma, incontornável. Séculos de evolução treinaram nossos cérebros pra que toda a subjetividade da beleza exista em um espectro muito bem definido, pra que toda a subjetividade da aparência feminina exista nesse espectro, tal como a masculina. Você pode olhar pra uma mulher trans que ainda não transicionou e tratar ela pelo feminino, por que ela é de fato uma mulher, mas não tem como negar que ela simplesmente NAO TEM a aparência de uma mulher, e você sabe disso.
A realidade é que pouquissimas mulheres trans conseguem ter oq a sociedade considera feminino de fato. E esse papo de "foda-se a sociedade lol" é falso. Sim, foda-se a sociedade até certa medida, mas só isso: até certa medida. Vivemos em sociedade, não tem como ignorar esses aspectos completamente

Hiya I’m currently looking for a hobby as part of my self care plan. Maps have always been something I’ve been drawn to both physical/political/historical and would like to try this out. Is there any guide, videos or books with a good introduction to drawing maps? I don’t really know anyone who’s into this kind of hobby and a quick google search only yielded results for how to get into cartography as a professional career so somewhere where I could start would be nice. I’ve not got the steadiest hands and my sketching is a bit weak but I think these are things I can improve on and I think my calligraphy is already decent.

37M. ya this is super hard for me to do, harder than i imagined. Okay, so Im an only child, "abandoned" at 12, no family, and artist by trade. I just want to try and find people who share any or some of the same interests, values, who can maybe relate. Although i hope you cant fully relate, Ive been through some abnormally difficult hardshiups which have added to my reluctance to seek any relationship.Currently working as an arrtist while caring for my mother who is battling breast cancer.I CANNOT DO THIS ALONE ANYMORE.Not caregiving, life, and i used to truly believe that i was fine without friends and as long as I had a girlfriend, i didnt need friends... Well since my fiancee left 8 years ago, I promised myself i wouldnt get into another relationship until I had a career, and had achieved success that would support a family. i have for the most part, but I have also gave up a lot for that decision. I've been isolated for years, literally, only going out to get groceries, and other chores.I have had a crrazy life to say the least, and been through unimaginable shit thats left me very weary of people and it sucks. some days i feel like Im dying inside, which is what has led me here.So, all that wonderful info aside, I am actually a personable guy, love music of any genre [except maybe house] and recently listening to; Nina Simone, The Smile, Grizzly Bear. I'm very new to the world of necromunda and miniature games in general and I wanted my first project to be building and painting the squat exo-driller. The catch is that I want to use a chicken head to replace the normal helmet. Because I'm so new to this I'm not sure where to start with sourcing and sizing so any help or general directions that I could be given would be greatly appreciated. SUR and Schwartz and Sandy’s - Peter doesn’t know what’s going on with Schwartz and Sandy’s - Sarah was there on a Wednesday and said it was pretty crowded - Peter said SUR is always busy and is getting busier
Cheating and the Raquel/Sandoval affair - Peter said that he has never cheated - Peter did not see this Sandoval and Raquel affair coming at all - Peter feels like he was directly involved because he feels like he was used to cover things up - Peter said Raquel and him went on a couple of dates while Sandoval and Raquel were hooking up. Meaning Peter thinks Sandoval and Raquel have been hooking up much longer - He thinks they have been hooking up since April of 2022
Reunion - The hosts asked Peter about Lala and Lisa’s interaction during the first part of the reunion - Peter said, “You don’t speak back to Lisa Vanderpump, I don’t care. Lisa put everybody on the map.” - Peter said it doesn’t make any sense to him why they talk back to Lisa but it is what it is. - When Peter heard the rumors of a fight almost happening on set, he assumed that James was involved - Peter thinks that James thinks Sandoval and Raquel were hooking up even before James and Raquel broke up - Peter said he could be wrong about that and is most likely wrong about that but it’s just a thought he has - He does think the booing from the other cast members and the gang up from the cast members against Sandoval is well deserved - Peter thinks Ariana handled herself well during the reunion but Peter didn’t see the whole reunion - Peter said Ariana is very strong with everything she has done. - Peter said that anger coming from Ariana is justified - Peter said he wouldn’t want to be Schwartz right now. - Peter said Schwartz is between a rock and a hard place right now because Schwartz is in business with Sandoval right now so it’s hard for him to call Sandoval out on stuff because that could hurt their business - Peter said of course Katie can also be angry with Schwartz - Peter doesn’t know the whole back story when it comes to Katie and Schwartz - He said Lisa Vanderpump looked the best at the reunion - Peter said Lisa is responsible for everybody’s career on the show
Randall - Peter had a meeting with Randall once to pitch him some ideas - Randall was making it seem like he was bigger than what he was and made it seem like he could help Peter get a tv or movie deal - Peter said but nothing came from that meeting - Peter thought that maybe Randall didn’t like him that much or that Randall was a fraud - Peter said turns out, Randall is a fraud - As far as Lala and Randall’s relationship, he wasn’t directly involved with all that therefore he isn’t going to get directly involved with all that - He does think Randall is a scumbag - And with the article about Randall dropping from the LA times, there’s not much more to say about Randall
Does Peter think Sandoval is dangerous? - Peter said, “I don’t think he is a danger to me.” - Peter said he won’t trust him ever again, but he doesn’t think he is dangerous in a way where he is coming to come punch me - Peter said one way to put it is Sandoval is a manipulator and if people know that they might think, “I got to be careful with this guy.” - Peter said, “When someone says dangerous to me, that’s like uhhh should they be in jail? That’s what comes up in my mind.”
Sandoval - Peter hasn’t talked to Sandoval for months. He said it was almost a half a year ago that he last spoke with Sandoval.
Filming with Sandoval - They asked Peter if he would film with Sandoval if he was asked to and he said, “Sure, we’ll see. I don’t know. It stays open. You know what I’m not going to give that answer. Time will tell I suppose.” - Peter understands Ariana not going to Tom Tom but that she can always come to SUR
Raquel - Peter said when they went out those couple of times, Raquel was very distraught about James getting a new girlfriend right away. - Peter was an emotional shoulder to cry on during that time - Peter said Raquel would talk about her past and what she wanted to do with her future - Peter would accept an apology from Raquel to him if she made it public. He would accept it but that doesn’t mean anything would change between them.
Does LVP play favorites? - Peter doesn’t think LVP plays favorites and is trying to keep the peace between everybody
