Is Oz (1997) the first tv show that used "F-word"?
Oz is an American prison drama television series set at a fictional men's prison created and principally written by Tom Fontana.[1][2] It was the first one-hour dramatic television series to be produced by the premium cable network HBO.[3] Oz premiered on July 12, 1997, and ran for six seasons. The series finale aired on February 23, 2003."Oz" is the nickname for the Oswald State Correctional Facility, formerly Oswald State Penitentiary, a fictional level 4 maximum-security state prison in New York. The nickname "Oz" is also a reference to the classic film The Wizard of Oz (1939), which popularized the phrase, "There's no place like home." In contrast, a poster for the series uses the tagline: "It's no place like home".[4] Moreover, most of the series' story arcs are set in "Emerald City", a wing named after a setting from the fictional Land of Oz in L. Frank Baum's Oz books, first described in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900).

2023.03.26 11:54 Ok-Studio-8081 Play Games

During the collab with Squeex, Squeex brought up a point where Miz should play games. And after sitting on that idea, it would be the best thing. They were saying that SM64 is like the new Sub surfers. I was reminded how Miz would play SM64, chat, and make jokes; it would be the best stream. I understand how the viewers saw Miz and Squeex as similar.
His stalling, IMO has worsened. He either stalls for 4 hours saying "Uhm" 1000 times for someone to come in the door or repeats the same Hasan debate for an hour. I know he has ADHD and can't always keep everything on track but goddamn, man.
His Valorant streams, with or without Emi, have been great. I loved it when he played SM64, Jump King, Dark Souls, etc. I miss the chill streams when he would play sm64, and random shit would happen throughout the stream.
Maybe I've grown too old to sit around and watch someone milk something for hours.
Regardless of all the shit I said, I'm still going to watch Miz. I love everything he does, and I find it entertaining anyways. I don't miss the old Miz or care about nostalgia. I view Miz as a personality streamer; others would disagree and say he is nothing without the 'Coomer' content or guest he invites. Not every stream needs a special guest, announcement, or JAM PACKED with content. Twitch has changed, but when I see Squeex streams, I'm reminded of how it was—a dude chatting with his community and gaming.
(Soda's recent trash talk event was fucking amazing. It felt honest and raw, instead of these stupid gameshows that only grab clips.)
What do yall think?

2023.03.26 11:51 Same-Hat-Energy Plus size retailers in New York?

My husband and I will be travelling to New York in SeptembeOctober for our anniversary (we’re from Australia). I’m always on the hunt for cute new clothes, especially since retailers where I can try stuff on in store are so limited.
Can anyone recommend any good retailers for plus size women's clothes in New York? In US sizing I’m probably around a size 20.

So I'm tired of being a couch potato recently and would like to go out and see new interesting spots, specially now that the Boulevard closed its doors. Highly appreciate if you can suggest a place, preferably something that doesn't require a reservation or a waiting list.

2023.03.26 11:36 BraveSelection1929 What exactly counts as "offensive & inappropriate" under the IB's definition?

I was reading the Academic Integrity Manual (https://www.ibo.org/contentassets/76d2b6d4731f44ff800d0d06d371a892/academic-integrity-policy-english.pdf), and it noted that "offensive" and "inappropriate" work towards "political" or "religious groups" could be academic misconduct.
I also read some of the precedents, but they were not helpful. Would you think the following is "offensive" or "inappropriate" to religious groups under the IB definition?
"A recent report written by the New York Times, along with quotes and testimony, shows that many Protestants and Baptists in the Deep South do not believe in evolution or the idea that pollution is man-made. Seeing as Christianity has significant political influence on governments all across the world, especially in North America, religion could pose a roadblock if society attempts to address the concerns of scientists."

2023.03.26 11:36 SonicSingularity What scenes from the movies are you most excited to see Mike react to?

I know its a ways off, but im still excited to see him react to these bad movies.
One of the smaller ones I'm excited about isn't actually major change from the book, but is a New York geography issue.
In the beginning of the movie Poseidon walks out of the ocean at what I'm pretty sure is Coney Island, then walks to the Empire State Building to meet Zeus.
According to Google Maps, that's a 4 and half hour walk! Unless Poseidon took the subway, and I find the idea of a god taking public transportation to be hilarious. In which case does Poseidon have an NYC Subway pass?

2023.03.26 11:36 ForwardAd5837 New York - Trying not to get ripped off

I’ve long dreamt of going to New York (from quiet rural North-West UK) and have said for years and years, next year I’ll go, next year I’ll book it.
Life always gets in the way, doesn’t it, and for years my partner and I have been in a financial situation whereby if we went away, it was short European city breaks staying in Hostels and doing the backpacker experience. Anyway, I’m 30 next year so want to finally see New York.
We’ve both the final week of November this year off from work and have decided to go to New York. Can anyone help with ideas or tips to keep the cost down? We are fairly flexible to fly from England, albeit Manchester and Liverpool suit best. We’d also prefer to get to NY at a time where the day hasn’t already gone. We want a clean, reasonable hotel that’s easy to get to the main Manhattan sites from, although we don’t need luxury.
• Best places to stay? • Must-see sites? • Restaurant/ recommendations? • Money saving tips?
Ideally we want decent flights and reasonable accommodation for under £3,000 (preferably a chunk less) because I appreciate that it will be expensive when we’re there.
Any engagement or help would be much appreciated! I’ve never been to the States before so am curious, excited and apprehensive all at once.
