Potential added cars for Driver: San Francisco

2023.05.29 14:23 Moist-Accountant-516 Potential added cars for Driver: San Francisco

Driver: San Francisco is one of the best open-world racing games I've played. I really appreciated its story, Shift mechanic, and car diversity, but there were unfortunately too few cars for me. I understand that Reflections didn't have a lot of time to model a lot of cars nor were they able to license from certain manufacturers, but just imagine if there were no licensing restrictions. Here's a list of cars that I think would've fit Driver SF.
2010 Acura MDX 2010 Acura TL SH-AWD 2010 Acura TSX V6 1971 AMC Javelin AMX 2011 Audi A1 1.4 TFSI 2009 Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro 2008 Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro 2011 Audi A8 6.3 FSI L 2010 BMW 135i Coupé 2009 BMW 330i xDrive 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo 2008 BMW M3 Coupé 2005 BMW M5 Sedan 2010 BMW X5 xDrive50i 2008 BMW X6 xDrive50i 2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35is 2009 Buick Enclave CXL 1987 Buick GNX 2010 Buick LaCrosse CXS 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Police 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT-8 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan 2009 Honda Element 2009 Honda Fit Sport 2010 Honda Insight 2008 Honda S2000 CR 2010 Infiniti FX50 2011 Infiniti G37 IPL Coupe 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2008 Lexus GS 460 2008 Lexus IS F 2010 Lincoln MKZ AWD 2009 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S 2010 Mazda CX-7 2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata 1995 Mazda RX-7 2009 Mazda RX-8 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 2008 Mercedes-Benz C 350 Sedan 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG 2007 Mercedes-Benz R 63 AMG 4MATIC 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5SR 2008 Nissan Armada 2009 Nissan Murano LE 2010 Nissan Versa 1.8 SL Hatchback 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP 2009 Pontiac Vibe GT 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo 2003 Porsche Carrera GT 2009 Porsche Panamera Turbo 2008 Saab 9-3 2.8T V6 Aero Convertible 2010 Saab 9-5 Aero 2012 Scion iQ 2011 Scion xB 2011 Scion tC 2009 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Premium 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan 2010 Toyota Camry XLE 2010 Toyota Corolla XRS 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 2010 Toyota Prius 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo
As you can see, most of these cars are everyday USDM cars sold between the mid-2000s and 2011. I know the Audi A4 exists in the game, but I changed it to a 3.2 FSI model for it to be balanced with the Alfa 159. Let me know what you guys think of the list, and I may add more cars, but I want to be careful with the additions because I want to create a balanced extended list.
I don't know if the Porsches can co-exist with RUF, but the Panamera and CGT don't have RUF equivalents.

Any idea on how to fix read right fender?
Hi, I have a 2017 Honda Civic EX-T 1.5L. I was wondering if it would be difficult to fix this? I got it when I bought it back in 2019. Is it just replacing that one piece in the 2nd photo?

2023.05.29 12:16 fudgexo My car was modified and now with tons of electrical issues blowing out different parts of the car. No mechanic seems to know what is wrong. Please help for advice.

2014 Lexus 350 IS F-Sport electrical system was modified now with tons of issues. No mechanic seems to know what is wrong. Please help for advice.
I am the 4th owner of this car. I know the exhaust was modified and the car was lowered but didn’t know the electricity was also modified.
My girlfriend’s mechanic told us that we should of never bought the car because it is risky to play with electrical system in the car. He believe the electricity was not travelling correctly to places and causing parts to either blowup or not work at times. Let say if I replaced the parts, I was told it is possible that the same thing would happen.
My mechanic don’t believe the console is even related to the other issues. He doesn’t know what is the cause and don’t find this a reason to sell the car. I am a little skeptical of my mechanic. Since my gf’s mechanic had a 3 week waiting list, I had go to mine. He is not sure what is the main issue and is replacing part by parts. He said to replace the amplifier, the compressor, and the console in the middle which cost $10,000- $15,000. However, I am afraid it is actually not the real problem and the parts he replaced would once again breakdown. He is now awaiting for the parts to come in and we don’t even know when that would be.
I don’t believe something is wrong with the middle compartment since it sometimes work. I think it is the electricity not travelling through. However, my mechanic just wants to replace it.
Please help!

2023.05.29 09:39 Personal_Style_8698 Fridge compressor suddenly running constantly, what happened?

Today the fridge compressor started running constantly. I thought it was because I had held it open a while to clean out the door shelves, but then it just kept going and going, stopping only for about ten minutes to defrost (I guess). It usually has long periods of quiet, with the occasional clucking and burbling sounds. There is warm air coming out from under the front of the fridge, so I am assuming the fan that cools the compressor is running(?), and there is cool air coming into both the fridge and the freezer. There seems to be a leak in the freezer gasket, but that's been there for a while...I do need to replace the gasket soon, but why the sudden change? There is a slight rattle that may have been there before, maybe an off-kilter fan? The compressor coils need cleaning, but I srtill don't know why this would SUDDENLY cause a change. Anyhow, it's an older fridge from between 2005-2010 (cannot recall now. Frigidaire. Top freezer. Thanks for any insights.

I have a 2021 White Honda Civic Touring and am thinking about getting these. I don’t see how it’s any difference when people paint there’s (way out of my expertise) or replace them entirely. I don’t have the cash for some real high performance ones, but thought these would look kinda cool…?

2017 Honda civic Ac compressor not starting on properly
I woke up this morning and I was about to go do an oil change and when I went to go start my car it sounded like it was struggling to start anyhow, it started and I brought it to the oil change shop, while it was parked waiting to be serviced the car died. The mechanics over there did a battery test and said the battery needed to be replaced because the cold start voltage was 373 and needed to be around 500.
Anyhow I wasn’t able to get the oil change done so I started the vehicle and was driving home and it was quite hot and I turned on the ac it had been working fine up until now and then after a few minutes of running the ac turned off and the fans were just blowing hot air.
So my question is, is it because of my car battery dying out it is affecting the performance of the air compressor?
I am attaching a video of the ac compressor trying to turn on and then it turns on momentarily before turning off again.
Any tips. Please

2023.05.29 02:21 FarcicalTeeth Hardware for swapping a 2001 Honda Civic radio

Hi, the radio/cassette player in my 2001 Honda Civic recently pooped out and I'd like to just swap it with another OEM radio/cassette player, and all the youtube tutorials seem to be for using a third party audio setup. I've found a couple radios on eBay that seem perfect and affordable, but I'm not sure what other hardware I'll need. I think I'll replace the wire harness for the sake of audio quality (which had been decreasing slowly over time; there's also a buzzing with some of the paneling on the driver side interior but that seems like an issue for a separate post?), and get a plastic pry tool for the job, but do I need the mounting brackets or anything else if it's just the exact same part? Thanks!

Mercedes CLA 200 (2014) - AC issues. Two outside temperature readings.
Mercedes CLA 200 (2014) - The AC does not seem to working. Upon inspection it turns out the outside temperature sensor was broken. Soon after replacing the sensor, the cluster displayed the proper temperature but still the AC did not turn on. The AC compressor only receives power when actuated from diagnosis tool else it does not receive any power even after switching on the AC button.
While checking the live data on my OBD tool the pressure switch shows proper refrigerant pressure but I noticed that there are two separate options to check the outside temperature. One is showing up as 35C and other as -40C.
So I am wondering are there two outside temperature sensors in this car? Or the unit is receiving false reading due to some reason and not turning on the AC.

2023.05.28 18:38 jk6425 Debating between Kia Seltos and Toyota Corolla Cross

I don’t know a lot about cars, and I’m having a hard time choosing between a 2024 Kia Seltos EX premium or 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross LE Premium AWD, I’m in Canada FYI as I know there are differences between vehicles in different countries.
I recently had a Seltos as a rental car and I absolutely loved it compared to my sedan. I’m just hesitant with the reliability of a Kia long term.
I haven’t test drove or seen a Corolla Cross yet in person but I like how it looks based on what I’ve seen online, I should be able to test drive this week. I know Toyotas are known for reliability. I am also able to get a discount on a Toyota through family.
I’ve been told the wait time for a Seltos is 2-6 months, and for a Corolla Cross I’ve been told 3-12 months, these are based on what I’ve heard from multiple dealerships. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with my car so I’m not on a rush to replace it thankfully.
I am a person that drives about 30000 km a year, mostly highway driving with my commute to work, and I want to keep this vehicle for a long time. This is why I’m hesitant with getting the Seltos. I guess if I took good care of a Seltos with maintenance as per the schedule and have the full warranty I’d hope the car would stay in good condition long term. (I heard kias require more frequent oil changes?)
I know and have more faith that if Toyotas are taken care of they will last for the long run! The Corolla cross is also slightly better on gas, and I think the trim I’m interested in costs slightly less than the Seltos. Plus I’d get my family discount. There’s also the depreciation of my current vehicle if I have to wait a year for the Corolla cross (I have a 2019 Honda civic ex with 149000 km…)
I like both vehicles, so I guess I’m just questioning the long term reliability of kias….. I didn’t love the Hyundai Kona and financially the Honda HRV is out of the question… any advice or input would be appreciated!

2023.05.28 18:20 S_Favilla 5th Gen parts already discontinued?

Anyone know the deal with injectors and AC compressors?
Just replaced my injectors last year at 65k, noticed they are discontinued and people are having trouble getting them from dealers without any reason, so I looked into getting a spare set as a security blanket. Called dealer, and they said it's a dealer only part, and they must replace? Seems suspect to me. (Part no 16010-5PA-305).
AC compressor shaft seal has been slowly leaking for two years, just needed to recharge the AC since it was low. Went to go purchase a new compressor, since no one makes a rebuild kit, and it is discontinued. (Part no 38810-5AA-A04)
Is Honda having problems sourcing parts? I was always told they need to support their parts for 10 years after the last model, which would be 2031.
Or are they just junk? Might be time to fix it up and send it?

2023.05.28 17:26 Jack15911 This is hard to say - I'm skipping the 2023 Honda Accord

This is hard to say - I'm skipping the 2023 Accord. I've owned five new Hondas (six, if you count my one Acura), but the 2023 just isn't doing it for me.
There were no EX-L models with 17-inch wheels on the lot, so I test-drove a couple of models with 19-inch wheels and didn't care for them - they were louder than I liked. The freeway was smooth, so the ride wasn't bad, but it also didn't thrill me. My seventh generation 2005 has been gone for a few years now, but I liked it better than the two 2023 models I drove.
I've read some complaints about seat comfort on long drives - I didn't notice that, but when I asked if I could have an overnight test, the dealer said they don't do that anymore. Okay, I get that, but me betting I'll like the car otherwise if I spend money to replace the big wheels, is a big ask.
The funny thing is that most of the Toyota car lots here are pre-selling their hybrids before arrival on the lot, and this dealer has some unsold, just sitting there.
I know some folks like them, but... I wish I'd bought a 2022 model.

2023.05.28 16:17 quietasari0t Does this mean she’s a real truck now?

Does this mean she’s a real truck now?
Went to the mall with my teen, came out to this. Luckily someone saw the incident and was kind enough to leave a note, a license plate of the person who hit me, and phone number. When I contacted said note writer, they sent me photos of the caperson who did it. So there are some good people in this world. I’m just more miffed at how the hell did someone in a Honda civic do THAT much damage? Of course the one time I don’t back my truck into a space. I’m off to the police station to file a report and hope their insurance, if any, will cover the damage. The bumper is pretty easily replaceable but might have to live with that tailgate damage.
It just sucks. I wanted a truck my entire life. Since I was a kid. I finally got her in early March 2020 and I’m thrilled I did because of the markup on them now. I worked so hard and love the heck out of her. And some jackass who can’t drive a little Honda Civic had to go and mess her up. 😢

2023.05.28 13:28 metsnewyork19861969 My latest short story

It was the summer of 2005, and Rodrick Bird was dying of boredom. The 19 year old college sophomore had returned home to San Francisco for the summer, and he had found himself unsure of how to keep himself entertained. It was frustrating to him. If he was smart enough to get into UCLA, he should be able to come up with some sort of scheme to cure him of his unbearable boredom.
Rodrick’s first thought was to call up his best friend Paulie Dio. Paulie was always coming up with crazy ideas to have fun. Sometimes, they even got him and Rodrick in trouble. It was never anything serious, they never got arrested or anything, but they often got warnings from the cops. They didn’t care, though. They were young and having a good time. Life was too short anyway.
And so, Rodrick called Paulie. Twenty minutes later, Paulie showed up at Rodrick’s parents house in his ‘98 Honda Civic. Rodrick could already tell from Paulie’s grin and the look in his eyes that he had cooked up something rad. Rodrick got into the car, and Paulie hit the gas pedal. They blasted Rob Zombie for the entire ride. They ended up in Oakland.
Once they arrived in Oakland, Paulie had the crazy idea to shout the N word in a black neighborhood and see them go crazy. Paulie wasn’t a racist, he just had a messed up sense of humor, and Rodrick loved him for it. Despite how funny it sounded, Rodrick didn’t think it was a good idea. Paulie didn’t listen, and so they pulled into a black neighborhood, and sure enough, Paulie shouted out the N word. As soon as the word left his mouth, he hit the gas pedal before anyone could process what had just happened.
Paulie was laughing maniacally the whole way back to San Francisco, whilst Rodrick didn’t know whether or not to be amused or horrified. He knew Paulie was crazy, but he didn’t think for one second that he would go through with it. Nevertheless, it was pretty hilarious, and Rodrick also laughed his head off. He hoped nobody was offended, though he doubted it. Paulie uttered possibly the most offensive word known to man, though it was as a joke.
Rodrick had made the right call by phoning Paulie to help relieve him of his boredom. Maybe it wasn’t what he would have suggested, but it was still fun nevertheless. It was a day he’d never forget.
