We know our finances aren't in the best place right now so we need to seek out bargains, so who would you target from other prem clubs? Chelsea and leicester obviously need to have a fire sale, who would you take from them for cheap or what other teams do you think need to unload players?

2023.05.29 14:56 VeryLazyLewis Do some people really think young people can’t afford a house because they buy coffees and stuff?
I go to debates to make friends and socialise, and last week a woman - in response to an argument I made about how screwed the younger generations are - got up and said “young people that I know spend £5 on coffee, and back in my day we use to work hard and save to afford a house”.
And I was just shocked that this tabloid-newspaper-like rhetoric was actually said out loud - and the rest older people clapped. Literally, retired people make up half the club.
Firstly, why does everybody point to coffee but nobody questions multiple pints and drinks at pubs and bars a week that’s so normalised.
What’s the issue with me spending £3 (not bloody £5) on a coffee and another person buying multiple rounds at a pub or bar, once, twice, perhaps multiple times a week?
Our generation drink less.
Secondly, the cliché argument: wages have stagnated, houses now cost a larger proportion of income to cost, rent is sky-high (I pay 35% of my income on rent), deposits use to take 1 to 2 years to save, and now it’s 4 to 5…
An average deposit outside of London costs £20,000, and back in the 1960s it was around the equivalent of £11,000 in todays money.
ALSO - the flat I live in right now I was forced to take without a viewing because every flat in the city was taken down after 1 hour of being posted, and I was constantly outbid.
On top of that, new tax structure, pensions….I’ve even had to get some private health care and dental care because of how bad the NHS is.
We just want the same life the last generation had, but god dammit, of course the doom of our entire generation is because we spend on £3 to £4 on a coffee a few times a week.
Why do people pretend that they locked themself in a house for 5 years in the 60s/70s/80s/90s to save for a house, with no social life, and demand that we deprive ourself of any fun while we save for a crappy new build flat or house, with exorbitant maintenance and ground fees, or new build houses with sand coloured bricks that should be sent to the last circle of hell.
I don’t even have a car, or debt, I get ‘free holidays’ because my partner is from a beach town abroad, we pay just for cheap RyanAir flights…
I earn exactly the average UK income and it took until age 30 (my current age) to get here.
On my current trajectory, I’ll have a house by 33, perhaps 34.
Then I’ll just pay if my mortgage as I retire, while the last generation and generation before that had it all paid off by 50.

2023.05.29 14:55 Averraayyy Stolen Food Problem
This happened a couple weeks back and i didn't know where to post it as i just found out about this SUB. Anyways, I ordered from Wendy's just for a quick meal as its fairly close to me and pretty cheap. Usually, i tip my drivers pretty middle of the road but on that day, i was feeling very nice as i just got paid so i tipped rather well in my opinion.Everything was going good with my order, the driver picked it up with no problems (or so i thought). As i'm watching the dasher drive to my house and all of a sudden, it just says my food delivered. But i soon realize that they weren't even close to my house (2-4 minute drive away). So i think "maybe they hit it by accident and they're probably otw.". I walk to my door and i wait there for about 5 minutes, Then i text my dasher "Hakeem" and ask "Hey, wheres my food.". He proceeds to tell me that some lady named "Elsa" (the snow queen i guess) grabbed my food at the restaurant before he even picked it up. So we're texting back and forth while he's swearing to me that he doesn't have my food. Now here's where i notice an error in his "story", why would he claim to pick up my food, proceed to drive in the direction of my house, and then tell me that someone already picked it up for me? I call Doordash and tell them about the situation and they only issue me a credit, which is a little annoying but i accept it nonetheless because its better than nothing. I'm posting this here to see if anyone has had a similar experience to mine, i'm curious to read other people's stories about stolen food!
(EDIT: forgot to mention that he also was dropping off another delivery before mine)
(Another EDIT: should mention that my meal was only $12 in total so it wasn't a HUGE loss.)

2023.05.29 14:55 Throwaway12239029 What (non military) pilot opportunities are there that utilize a TS/SCI/FSP?
I’m working towards getting all of my flight ratings and certificates. The classic goal of the airlines would be just fine to me, but utilizing my clearance would be even better.
Are there any opportunities to use it as a lower time pilot? I no longer have an interest in the military just from a lifestyle perspective. I know there is ISR which I’m not super interested in due to 90day rotation life. Anything else?

| Here is a picture of my humble collection. I know Armani watches are a bit looked down upon in the community, but they were gifts from a family member, which is why I would never sell them and I do actually enjoy wearing them. These are in order of newest (L) to oldest (R). Seiko 5 Sports SRPD51K1: I bought this one a few months ago directly in the Seiko boutique and I absolutely love wearing it. Seiko 5 SNK795: This was the first new watch I bought myself and also my first automatic watch. The dial is gorgeous and I love the subtle but classy look, but the bracelet annoys me a lot, it keeps rattling and just seems cheap overall and also the crown is tiny. Style wise this is the one I like the most, seems to be a good fit in almost every situation. Timex Weekender Chronograph: I bought this one used for about 30€ and this one made me really enjoy watches and go down the rabbit hole. I haven't worn it since I got the Seikos. Like I said the Armanis were a gift so I will always keep them around. So far I usually have worn them when I dressed up a bit, but they are a bit big for my taste. I plan on getting some different straps for the Seikos (any recommendations, especially for the SNK?) Also what would you recommend me to add to this humble collection? I think budget wise about 700-800€ would be my limit. At the moment I was thinking about a Seiko Alpinist or a Laco Valencia (38mm). submitted by bvm131313 to Watches [link] [comments] |
2023.05.29 14:51 CalamityPhant0m Craziest thing happened yesterday...
So, I picked up a 550am reservation to kickoff my day. I needed 18 rides to hit 50 & get my meager $110 quest "bonus" which was compared to the $260 quest last weekend.
Anyways. I knew the day was going to suck balls and went into it expecting 1/2 my rides to have to be in the WORST place in Orlando just to be able to hit my #.
Back to my reservation... It's a lady, her mother, & a teenager. 35 minute total ride to Sanford International Airport, which is where the cheap flyers fly into when they visit Orlando. Reservation paid $30.91 (shocking compared to other rez trip offers lately, almost reminiscent of last year), but anyways, as per usual, I NEVER EXPECT a tip. We had pleasant convo, me & her son even nerding out over Zelda for a handful of minutes.
She gets to open the door at the airport, and I got out to open my trunk and hand their bags to them, and she said "I'll tip you in the app" confirming what I knew all along. Then, as I'm driving away, heading back to the bowels of Orlando's over-saturated Rideshare market, BOOM 💥, $20 tip from her not 4 minutes after driving away.
Not sure why i posted this, except to say it must have been a dream or a simulation. Can't even tie my shoes this morning, nothing seems right after that 🤭

2023.05.29 14:51 Edggie_Reggie [TotK] TotK Timeline Placement Theory. Answering the Rito Problem, Imprisoning War & First Monarchs of Hyrule
(Reposting for different title) This is a very long post, so bear with me.
The Legend of Zelda timeline doesn’t make sense. Thanks to voice lines from every single sage, we know that the flashbacks take place during the Imprisoning War, which takes place in the Fallen Timeline of the franchise. The earlier flashbacks closely echo some of the events of Ocarina of Time, with the introduction of Ganondorf and Zelda taking the place of link in warning the king and queen of Ganondorf’s ill intentions. It sort of makes sense, since there doesn’t appear to be a Link/someone possessing the Spirit of the Hero in this era. However, this cannot possibly be the Imprisoning War, since Rauru said that he and Sonia were the first king and queen of Hyrule. That would mean that the flashbacks take place long before the events of The Minish Cap, possibly thousands of years before OoT. Furthermore, the Rito are fully fledged beings, and yet they don’t appear to exist until the events of Wind Waker, which is an alternate timeline – the Adult Timeline. From several games in the Fallen timeline, the Zora are shown to be nothing more than mindless monsters, such as in A Link Between Worlds, and yet in OoT, they are fully sentient beings.
I think I know a way to explain almost everything I mentioned above. Breath of the Wild seems to bridge all three alternate timelines: there are sentient Zora, fully fledged Rito, the Imprisoning War, etc. and several millennia have passed between BotW and the earlier games. But there’s more. I believe that the change from sentient Zora to mindless monsters happened due to the carnage of the Imprisoning War. I think it’s possible that the War resulted in the loss of Zora leadership, leading to the apparent “savagery” (for lack of better words) in the Zora in the Fallen Timeline. In the book, The Lord of the Flies, a large group of schoolboys find themselves alone on an island with no adults. Over the course of the book, they become less ‘civilised’, more barbaric and ‘savage’. I believe this could be an explanation for what happened to the Zora. It’s not a perfect explanation, but, at least to me, it works. What isn’t quite explainable, however, is how the Imprisoning War could occur during the reign of the first Hyrulian Royal family, or how the Rito could exist that far back in the timeline. How could these three ‘things’ exist simultaneously?
Well, dear Redditiors, Zelda fans and theorists, I would like to propose to you that they can exist simultaneously. In the Twilight Princess, you can find a carving which appears to depict the Rito. But how could that be? Surely the Rito didn’t exist in this timeline? In this section in the timeline, yes, but what about earlier? Much, much earlier. What if, now hear me out, what if the Rito, as we know, love, and hate them, already existed? How did they did they disappear so soon after founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule and before The Minish Cap? Well, if in just a few centuries, the Kokiri can evolve/change/mutate into the Koroks and the Zora into the Rito, why couldn’t the Rito themselves evolve/change/mutate following the Imprisoning War? If you’re wondering how that could possibly be the case, when the Rito have never featured in the Fallen Timeline, I’m here to tell you that I’m not talking about that Imprisoning War. I’m taking about a different one.
I believe that the Imprisoning War that featured in TotK and the one in the Fallen Timeline are, in fact, two separate events. I believe that the Imprisoning War in TotK was the First Imprisoning War. If you’re wondering how that’s possible when the villain is so clearly Ganondorf, who was first introduced in OoT, well, why couldn’t it be a different Gerudo male called Ganondorf? In BotW, Urbosa said that a Gerudo male once took the form of Ganon. It makes sense that she would be referring to OoT Ganondorf. If it happened more than once, surely, she would have said so? Not really, no. Remember, more than 10,000 years have passed between games. History can become lost to time. Let’s take another look at the glyph depicting two dragons, each consuming the other’s tail. It looks identical to the symbol of an Ouroboros Cycle – a continuous cycle of events. But here’s the thing, there are two dragons, not one. It’s possible this refers to more than one continuous cycle. There’s the cycle born from the Demon King’s Curse, but there’s more. Shortly after the founding of Hyrule, Ganondorf is sealed away in the Imprisoning War, 10,000 years later is the First Great Calamity. 10,000 years after that is the Second Great Calamity. 20,000 years before TotK, the Rito existed, then they disappeared. Several thousand years later, they reappeared. Ganondorf rose to power and was defeated in a war, thousands of years later, in OoT a Ganondorf rose again, and was defeated, again. Here’s what I believe happened. In the early years of the kingdom of Hyrule’s founding, the Rito, as we know them in BotW, existed, the Zora were sentient, everything was as it was in the flashbacks in Tears of the Kingdom. When the first Ganondorf rose to power and began his war on Hyrule, I believe it’s possible that, knowing the Rito have an advantage with their flight and are skilled archers, a portion of Ganondorf’s resources were spent to nullify the Rito’s advantage as much as possible. As a result, the remaining Rito fled to the rockspires in the middle of Lake Totori – a very defensive position. Also, take a moment to examine Rito Village’s location. It’s in Hebra. Playing as Link, you need cold resistance clothing or food, so you don’t take freeze. For the Gerudo, who lived in the desert, I expect the cold temperatures would’ve been unbearable. Despite this, the Rito sage did not falter and offered his allegiance to Rauru.
Hyrule succeeded in stopping Ganondorf, but it came at a heavy price: both Hyrulian monarchs were dead, and Ganondorf would return. Now, here comes the heavy speculation (mostly hearsay). If the First Imprisoning War echoes the events of the Second, there must have been a Spirit of the Hero. I think the Spirit of the Hero was Rauru. My evidence for which is that Sonia is likely a descendant of Skyward Sword’s Zelda, and there is always some connection between a Zelda – the incarnation/descendent of the goddess Hylia – and her chosen hero (that’s literally about it). But Rauru, possessing the Spirit of the Hero, and Sonia, the blood of the goddess, were killed. (Side note: Rauru and Soina mentioned that Zelda was their direct descendent, but we never see nor hear of them having any children. Nothing important for this theory, just interesting.) As for the Rito, their population was decimated. There were so few of them left, they decided to look outside of Hebra to keep their numbers. As seen from the carvings in Twilight Princess, they may have had some success, with the best results coming from coupling with Hylians (and possibly Zora? (don’t try to think about this too much)), but in the end, it was a fruitless endeavour. Long before the events of The Minish Cap transpired, the last resemblance of the Rito vanished. But for the rest of Hyrule, life moved on. And the Demon Curse continued to harass the Spirit of the Hero and the Princess of Hyrule. (How could the curse persist when Ganondorf was still alive? Even though he was technically still alive, I think he was dead enough that the timeline could move on.)
Fast forward thousands of years into the future to the events of the Ocarina of Time, another Ganondorf was born to the Gerudo, the first Gerudo male born in 100 years. He began another war against Hyrule, ruling the kingdom for seven years before he was defeated by Link and sealed away. In the Adult Timeline, the Hero of Time was returned to the past, so when Ganondorf returned, Hyrule was left without a Hero. The sages sealed Ganondorf away again, in a different Imprisoning War to the one in the Fallen Timeline. The Gods flooded Hyrule, creating the Great Sea, and… the Zora became the Rito? Among the many things that don’t make sense, why water-adept beings evolved to have flight is a mystery, unless, of course, the Zora lived in fresh water and couldn’t tolerate salt water. It always confused me as to why the Rito in WW looked more like Hylians than Zora, even if a few centuries had passed. Furthermore, the Rito only “got their wings” from a dragon scale. I have little evidence for this, other than speculation, but I think it’s likely that the Rito evolved from the Hylians and Zora who had even the faintest of traces of Rito DNA, back from the aftermath of the First Imprisoning War. Remember what King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule said in WW, that the Gods told some people to go to the highest peaks. But why not all of them? That I do not know. Maybe a YouTuber has already covered it.
Nevertheless, over the centuries, the Rito evolved to the ones we know in BotW, the Great Sea drained and Hyrule returned to the surface. People returned to Hyrule and started their civilisation anew. Thousands of years after this, the First Great Calamity occurred. 10,000 years later, the Second Great Calamity. In the months following the Second Great Calamity, Ganondorf was reawakened, as were the sages. The ancestors of the BotW sages appeared to each of their descendants and told them the story of the Imprisoning War. The First Imprisoning War.
The greatest issue in writing this theory was the existence of the Rito in the Imprisoning War. With only the carvings hinting to their existence in the Timeline before the split in OoT in Twilight Princess, the Rito only featured in the Adult Timeline. Is this theory perfect? No, definitely not. But does it work? Somehow, kind of. The Rito must have existed at the founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule, yet they never feature in a game until Wind Waker. We learn that the Rito evolved from the Zora after the gods drowned Hyrule. However, they must have existed at some point prior to Ocarina of Time due to the carvings seen in Twilight Princess, but they weren’t the Rito in WW, BotW or even the flashbacks in TotK. I’m sure I’ve missed many things that support and contradict this theory.
Much of it is just hearsay, but it’s the best I’ve got. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

2023.05.29 14:48 Goldsweater67 New to me INT650, initial thoughts and planz
| After admiring these since they came, I finally pulled the trigger on a 650 twin! Coming from vintage Hondas and a Ducati ST2, I was in the market for something newer, a get on and go bike in my stable, allowing me to properly care for my old bikes while still having something to ride. And the Enfields appealed to me for their classic styling, DIY ownership experience (screw and locknut valve adjustments hell yeah!!) and perfect mid range performance. My favorite roads are 50-60 MPH back roads. Okay, 35 MPH backroads...... where you theoretically could go a little faster.... Anyway, I recently picked up this used '22 INT650, with just over 3k miles. It's sweeeeeet!! Here's what I love:#1: physical size, ergonomics and styling:ALL of the other bikes in the showroom are huge. Even the modern classic Triumphs seem bigger and not as proportional as the Enfield. I like riding tight back roads, dirt roads, and I love being able to maneuver easily into parking situations. At 6'2" and about 165#, this bike fits me great. Foot pegs could be slightly lower, but they're much better placed than the old CB pegs. Some reviewers complain that the pegs are in the way when they come to a stop and put their foot down, and I frankly have no idea wtf they're talking about. Seemed fine to me??And the weight sounds high on paper, but it feels lighter than my classic Honda CB500k, which is the bike by which I judge all others btw.... #2: Engine!!! Wow it's great. It doesn't have the snap of something like an MT07, but the Enfield sounds better and feels great. Plenty of torque anywhere and you can use ALL the power. Even my humble Ducati, with 82 HP, rarely gets to exercise its engine, at least where I ride. Like my old Honda, you can pin the throttle without going straight to jail. Lots of fun! It also sounds great. I've had it up to about 85 MPH, which is the fastest I would ever go, and it did fine, and felt like there was some more speed to be had. Anything over 75 and it kind of feels like you're abusing it. I think 60-70 is a comfortable sweet spot. #3: Fit and finish is really good. My dad has an '04 Bullet 500, the classic iron barrel one, and it is nothing like this new twin. The paint is beautiful, and it has nicely polished engine cases!! Even the cheesy plastic fenders look good. I thought that would be one of the first things to change, but the silver paint is nice! I love the orange color because it comes with silver wheels, while most of the others come with black wheels. Yuk lol Okay, here are the things I DON'T like. Subjective of course.... #1. Handling is garbage. I mean, at 50 mph gentle curves it's fine. But when you really push it you start to feel the squirliness of the shitty forks and shocks. Or maybe the cheap tires are a big culprit. When they wear out I'll shop for better rubber. I can say it does not handle bumpy roads well at all. I think my terrible old CB500 does better on bumpy surfaces.... So, I will eventually invest in good shocks, and probably a YSS fork kit. I would love to hear people's opinions on the available shocks. Do I have to spend $700 for fully adjustable YSS reservoir shocks, or are there other options people like?? #2. Brakes. Not good. Again, for normal riding, they're just fine. Way better than my vintage bikes. But, when you really stomp on the brakes, especially the rear, the ABS is a bit intrusive and you can feel the pulsations. I was riding at a fairly high speed and braked fast to turn onto another road, and the ABS did not instill confidence. I realize it's not a performance bike, and I was maybe asking too much of it, but that incident made me wish I could turn the ABS off. Can you do that btw??? Um, those are the only "objective" negatives I can come up with. It's a brilliant bike. For 1/2 the price of a Bonneville you get about 80% of the bike (maybe more). Finally, here are some mods and upgrades I'm planning: 1: aforementioned forks and shocks, when I can afford them! 2: exhaust. I'm seriously thinking about the "powerage" full headers and mufflers. Yeah I know, they're cheap. It's a cheap bike!!! I can't wait to weigh the stock system and then the aftermarket one. I bet it's 100#s difference. (ok exaggerating....) One thing about retro bikes is that the exhausts always look disproportional, due to the chambers, dual walls, catalysts, etc. 3: lower handlebars. They're not bad, but I really love the riding position of my CB500k with CB400f bars, which is basically a superbike bar setup. I think I will try the Hitchcock low bars 4: turn signals. Man they are cheesy. Not only are they low quality chromed plastic, they're bulbous and stupid looking. If the US market bikes came with the rectangular ones I've seen, I might not hate them so much. I am going to get the metal rectangular signals from Dime City Cycles. 5: luggage rack. I've already ordered a cheap chrome rear rack from India. I have something similar on my classic Honda. Hopefully it gets me by. If not, I will have to upset the bike's sleek looks with some saddlebags. 6: tank pads. I like the rubber knee pads I'm seeing. They look cool! 7: Air filter kit. I like the cleanable DNA filter and cover eliminator. That's it for now. If you made it through my whole novella, congratulations, and thanks for reading! I hope my initial "review" is somewhat useful, and feel free to chime in with suggestions for the upgrades I mentioned!! https://preview.redd.it/keh85pyuor2b1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=13a0366fba32b0becd2df6caf76d1635e41624e5 submitted by Goldsweater67 to royalenfield [link] [comments] |
2023.05.29 14:48 Chirashi_Sushi Mama of Eight living in hell and in desperate need of help
Hi Everyone! I know this is the wrong sub to put this into and it's very hard for me to post this kinds of stuff since my whole life I've never asked help from anyone. I am a lone cat rescuer. I've rescued like hundreds of cats now, some of them re-homed, some released back outside while some were adopted by me. I usually adopt kittens. Like days old to few months old kitten. Kitten formula is not cheap like baby formula, if you want something as healthiest or closest to the real deal, you get the most pricey one.
Thankfully as of now I have no baby kitten in my possession. I do have 8 cats, 4 adults and 4 months old kittens. I just recently lost my job. Funny how no matter how much effort and skills you put into your job, you are just expendable to the companies. I was underpaid and negotiated my value by the management thought of otherwise and just let me go. I'm doing my best and bursting out of my comfort zone to find a job, or any job that will pay for my expenses.
As of now I need some help as things are looking pretty cloudy (more stormy as days past) for me. Any job posting I find I tried to apply but weeks have past and none responded. I'm getting pretty desperate and depressed as I have bills to pay but I'd rather put those behind as my priorities are my cats. I wake up for them everyday even if I feel like not waking up at all most of the time. I try to eat one decent meal per day and just stay hydrated to reduce my food costs.
I'm just getting back to my feet as I moved out from my abusive mother's place but things do tend to throw you into deeper pit as you start climbing back up.
Anyways, I set up a fundraising campaign and any amount will do and much be appreciated. Even if your small amount feels like a pebble to you it's still a stepping stone for me to get out of this pit of misery.

2023.05.29 14:45 Gavcradd PC keep shutting down when hot - help?
I built my son a cheap gaming PC a few months ago, built around second hand parts. It's basically a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM and a 1080GTX GPU and a 650W PSU. The case I used was an old one I had lying around and was quite tight. It all worked fine for the last few months, but now the weather has started to get significantly warmer here in UK, it's started shutting down randomly.
I'm pretty sure it's a temperature thing. Evidence is :
- it worked perfectly well until the weather turned warmer
- it only ever shuts down under high load - e.g. in the middle of a game of Fortnite or FIFA. Neever when just browsing the web, etc. He left it on all night to download from Steam and it didn't crash.
- I put a big fan (the sort you cool a room down with) blowing cold air directly into the case and this stops it from crashing - not crashed for 2 days with it, removed it today and it crashed again within 30 minutes.
So - as I thought it was definitely temperature related, and the case was far too small, I purchased a bigger gaming case that has more room for airflow and 4 case fans. I put these in this morning, but within the hour, it had reset twice.
I need help for a couple of things please?
(1) Is there a way of determining whether it's the CPU, GPU or power supply that is causing the issue? Is there software that will log the CPU and GPU temperature at regular intervals, or log impending failure?
(2) How should I put the fans inside the case - at the moment I have two on the top of the case and one either side, but not sure if they are sucking or blowing... what's the best arrangement?
(3) At the moment, he's using it with the sides off, but would it be cooler with the sides of the case on if the fans are all running?
(3) Could it be anything else? Or anything else I can do? It's only a cheap gaming rig, it's shouldn't need watercooling!
Thanks in advance :-)

2023.05.29 14:44 autotldr Millions of Chinese welcome panda back home after stay in US
This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 65%. (I'm a bot)
Panda lovers who could not make it to the airport launched what they called an online pick-up for Ya Ya. "We welcome Ya Ya's return online" had chalked up 340 million reads on the Chinese messaging platform Sina Weibo by the time her 16-hour flight from Memphis, Tennessee, touched down.
Le Le's death in February and the emergence of pictures online of Ya Ya looking thin and bony only added to the concerns among panda lovers not only in China but also in the US and elsewhere.
The zoo spent $16m to build a giant panda facility with traditional Chinese cultural elements, set up a breeding management and veterinary team, and planted about 4 hectares of bamboo ahead of Ya Ya's arrival, according to a report last month in China's state-run Global Times.
"Ya Ya is returning to China to live out her golden years," Memphis Zoo said in a statement on Facebook as the panda left the US. "After 20 years, Ya Ya has become like family, and she will be sorely missed by the Memphis Zoo staff and the local community."
The Chinese government acknowledged the pandas had been well looked after in the US. "During the giant pandas' stay at the Memphis Zoo, they received good care from the zoo and great affection from the American people," Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Wednesday.
His remains were returned to China on the same flight with Ya Ya. Beijing-based China analyst Einar Tangen blamed Western media for manufacturing a Chinese furore over Ya Ya's health.

2023.05.29 14:44 ImpossiblePineapple Four year relationship over because he was never 100% sure.
Myself [26F] and my partner [27M] have been together for four years. There were ups and downs, but ultimately this has been the best relationship of either of our lives. We finished grad school together, moved entire states together twice, had a dog and then lost that dog to cancer, lost family members, built a home together, supported each other through everything. Our values were identical, our compatibility was amazing. There was an intimacy in this relationship that I've never known. We could tell each other absolutely everything, even when it was hard.
Even though we discussed marriage and kids throughout our relationship, there was always something that held him back. He was never able to articulate to me or even to himself what it was exactly holding him back. He said he felt this sense of doubt, of not being 100% sure, and didn't know why.
He left on a solo travel vacation a couple of days ago. We agreed to go no-contact during this vacation so that he may think things over. After his flight there, he let me know that he did a lot of mediating and thinking on the plane, and while he hasn't made a final decision, is not feeling very positive about the future of our relationships. He says that I'm his best friend, and theres no question about whether he loves me, but he doesn't think it's fair to either of us to get engaged/married knowing he's not 100% sure.
I am broken. How do I move on from a relationship where I was SO sure. I thought he was the one. It feels like he is the one.
I feel like an idiot. I feel like my world has stopped.

2023.05.29 14:43 aditkapoor Sony XM5 vs XM4
Hello everyone! I'm seeking some advice on choosing wireless noise-canceling headphones for both daily use and travel. Currently, I have the Bose QC45, which I purchased for $300, but I wasn't entirely satisfied with them. My main issue is the inability to turn off the noise canceling, which is important to me in certain environments where it's not necessary. I'm now considering the XM5s priced at $350 or the XM4s at $280.
My primary use for these headphones will be listening to pop, electronic, and hip-hop music. I'm not necessarily looking for the most balanced sound, but rather something I can truly enjoy. Since I often take flights lasting 3+ hours, I want a pair that I wouldn't mind wearing for the entire duration.
Currently, I use AirPod Pros, and one thing I love about them is that they don't cause any fatigue even after extended use. I've noticed some differences between the XM5s and XM4s, such as the compactness for travel (which isn't a big concern for me) and a variation in ANC quality. Reviews indicate that the XM5s may suffer from adaptive noise cancellation algorithms, while the XM4s have consistently better ANC performance across different environments.
Considering my budget, I received $300 as a present from a family member, so I would contribute $50 of my own money if I decide to purchase the XM5s. I'm simply wondering if the extra $70 is worth it or if I should just go for the XM4s. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

2023.05.29 14:40 DeucesWild10 Duran’s Slump
Bad week+ from Jarren. Lots of swing and miss and really minimal quality ABs. Is this a slump or are pitchers adjusting to his new approach, making it now necessary for JD to counter? And can he counter?
I’m a big Duran believer so I’m hoping he’s just dealing with something every big leaguer does. Hopefully he gets a couple cheap hits to get his confidence back BUT my fear is that pitchers may be approaching him differently and if so, they’re winning.
With Duvall on the path back, really bad timing on Duran’s behalf…
Thoughts?

2023.05.29 14:39 HooliGan1420 21M - I bid thee a humble welcome into my very straightforward but amazingly long post. Feel free to explore, laugh and be charmed if you may ^^
Halloha, my name's Gianluca. Nice to meet you!- is what I would say in a formal setting.
But hence you found me in my area of comfort, welcome to my humble abode. Would you like some tea? Maybe you fancy some Earl Grey.
Anyway anyway I'm starting to babble lol, if you're wondering what I'm here for, it's for talking to you, interesting person out there wherever may you be. Meeting new people and all it brings is something I love. Making friends this way is amazing so therefore I presented myself!
If details are something you're into hearing, i can give you lots:
-I have to refuel every day almost cuz I go through an entire tank in 2 days or less. Love driving around. (Had to get new shoes and take up running to reduce expenses)
-I'm a car mechanic, also a construction worker, carpenter and if patience blesses me on that day; a painter.
-What am I saving up for? Well it's big, pretty massive in fact. So massive i could write an entire letter about it... Huh... Would it be cheeky if I said you can ask about this in your message? Would be a good idea.
-Had to start running everywhere for transport which is fun, I also do cycling, practice jumps and tricks at the bike park and do motorcycle and karting races. (Other categories and car racing are a work in progress, will upgrade soon)
-Music taste: this is the part where you look at a bunch of hyperbabble about bands that don't make a lot of sense unless you heard them, but I'll just throw a buncha names and you can see if any of the following applies: Radiohead, Megadeth, Fishmans, Marillion, The Black Keys, Queens of The Stone Age, Buckethead, Alphaville, Dire Straits, Little River Band, David Bowie, XTC, UB40, Commodores, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Cure.
-Ultramegahyper car and motorcycles fan, but in the weirdest way possible. My dream cars are actually cheap french hot hatches like the 306 and a 90's Renault Clio. The car I'd get first no matter what is a 1998 Ford Focus. If possible the RS version. And as for motorcycles I want a Kawasaki ZXR, 80's style. Also love German cars, especially old BMW's, first one I'd get is an e32 with the M70 V12 engine. Also love old Volkswagens and Audis, without a doubt would own an 80's Audi with one of their 5 cylinder engines and turbocharge it. Also very fond of japanese cars and will own a Nissan in any form possible, especially the 350z
-Played almost every Need For Speed game that ever released, started my journey with the franchise through Underground, and played every release as they launched. (yes even Undercover, I actually enjoyed it). I listen to the soundtracks of old NFS games in my free time. Also played Midnight Club, Forza, Assetto Corsa, FlatOut, Burnout, BeamNG... I COULD KEEP GOING.
-Not everything in my life is about cars though, my day is dedicated to music too, especially playing piano. I'm also a guitar and bass player. And really want to get more sound gear and instruments in the future (Cars and music gear? I'll be broke all the time)
-I'm relatively organized, but living by myself has shown me that being the only person inside the house, I leave stuff around unless somebody visits. But while living with my parents I didn't make any mess anywhere so I'm not an absolute demon.
-Yes, living by myself also requires me to cook and I'm actually an amazing cook. I include lots of seasoning and veggies into the meals, even soy to balance things out and eggs for protein. Learned lots while being independent.
-Fun facts about me to end this: The amount of clothes I have in total is so small that i can wash them all in one washing machine load, the house machine size. I also have 3 different pillows around me at all times cuz I don't like laying on a flat surface. I listen to music even while showering. And I own a dog that requires me to feed her on a daily basis even though I beg her to feed off the sun.
Anyways that's about it from me! Hope you enjoyed this lil introduction that is the size of the Twilight prologue, but way better.

2023.05.29 14:39 khan_54 BUS SERVICE
Salam. Hope you all are well. I will be travelling to islamabad inshaAllah, so I was thinking to experience travelling through bus service instead of taking a flight. I've heard good things about the quality and comfort.
I have 3 questions:
- I know a bus adda near mazar e quaid, is that the main primary adda or are there any other points you would suggest?
- Which bus service would you recommend. (Pls suggest from your own personal experience only)?
- Should I book a seat online on bookings.com or satsaticket, or is it preferable to go manually and pay in cash?
JazakAllahu khairan for your time and advice.
