In the spirit of this community, only people who shared their tune on our subreddit will be considered for the winners podium. Tunes must be posted before the challenge closes, in a post of its own. If it isn't posted I'll move to the next person in line for the position.
For most challenges, the easiest way is to join our in-game club, that way your best time is automatically uploaded to the club leaderboard, unless your fastest lap ever isn't with a car that respects this week restrictions. You'll find a link to join at the bottom of this post. Because of game restrictions, some challenges will require to manually submit a time under this post or in a dedicated channel on our Discord server. If so it will be specified in the challenge description. Of course dirty lap times with a (!) won't qualify you.
If your best time isn't uploaded to the leaderboard, either because you were faster in another car or aren't in our club, we won't be able to validate your lap time.
If that happens, you'll have to upload video proof of your time as a comment under this post

Corporation Tax (Non-resident Companies) Bill
An Act to make provision for further anti-avoidance measures in relation to overseas companies making sales in the United Kingdom.
BE IT ENACTED by the King’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Section 1: Definitions
(1) A “Non-resident UK Company” is a company which is not registered in the United Kingdom under the Companies Act 2006.
(2) An “Associated Group Company” is defined as any overseas company under common control of a non-resident UK company with at least 51% shared ownership or control.
(3) “Sales of UK origin” means either;

a. The customer is in the United Kingdom, or
b. The customer is resident in the United Kingdom and the risks and rewards of the transaction arise in the United Kingdom, or
c. The delivery of the good or the service is in the United Kingdom, or
d. The sale is paid through equity raised through UK capital markets, specifically or largely for the purposes of the transaction, or
e. The sale is paid through debt originating from the United Kingdom, specifically or largely for the purposes of the transaction

Section 2: Taxation of Non-resident UK companies
(1) A non-resident UK company and its associated Group companies shall fall under the scope of this Act if the entity has any Sales of UK origin.
(2) A non-resident company shall be liable to corporation tax on its worldwide profits net of any overseas corporation taxes paid, on the highest percentage of the terms in (a) and (b) multiplied by the applicable corporation tax rate.

a. The percentage of the companies’ worldwide sales which are sales of UK origin;
b. The percentage of the companies’ worldwide profits which are arising from sales of UK origin (sales of UK origin, less allowable expenses arising in the United Kingdom)

(3) If a non-resident UK company is paying corporation tax under the terms of a “Permanent Establishment” under the Corporation Tax Act 2009, these amounts shall be fully deductible to the liability arising under clause 2).
Section 3: Commencement, Short Title and Extent
(1) This Act will come into force on the 6 April 2024
(2) This Act will extend to the entirety of the United Kingdom.
(3) This Act shall be cited as the Corporation Tax (Non-resident Companies) Act 2023

It has long been known that the United Kingdom is a haven for companies and individuals wishing to avoid paying their rightful share of tax. This is the first of 3 pieces of legislation that I wish to bring forward to the House in my role as Home Secretary and Treasury advisor.
This Bill’s aim is simple - to capture all revenue-generating transactions occurring in the United Kingdom as generating taxable total profits, therefore ensuring that all profits earned in the United Kingdom are taxed in the United Kingdom. This Bill broadens the scope of transactions which are taxable under the Corporation Tax Act to include those in which either the risks or rewards of the transaction occur in the United Kingdom, as well as transactions funded through the UK equity and debt markets.
This simple measure will make it harder for non-resident companies to claim that profits that are generated in the United Kingdom are only taxable in lower tax-rate affiliated companies overseas, thereby avoiding scope of Corporation Tax.
In combination with the other two pieces of anti-avoidance legislation I will be submitting to the House, these measures are collectively expected to raise £3.4 billion. This proposed revenue generation and these Bills were raised at Her Majesty’s Budget Committee and unopposed. My thanks go to my friend the Right Honourable Phonexia2 for their assistance in costing.
I urge the House to rally behind this Bill.
(M: These costings are calculated as 40% of the tax gap for “Evasion” and “Non-payment”, given the difficulty of calculating the actual revenue generated from these measures).

(4) Condition A is that—
a. the amount of the loan or advance does not exceed £5,000, and
b. that amount does not exceed £5,000 when taken together with any other outstanding loans and advances which were made to the borrower by—
i. the close company, or
ii. any of its associated companies.

Section 2: Amendments to Section 457 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010
(1) Clause 2 of Section 457 of the Corporation Tax Act 2010 is amended as follows:

a. the loan or advance or part of it is repaid to the company, or
b. the whole or part of the debt in respect of the loan or advance is released or written off, and;
c. no new loan or advance to the recipient is established within 2 years of the original loan date.

I now present the second of the anti-tax avoidance laws that I wish to bring to the House, this one tackling the Section 455 avoidance measure.
Under previous laws, it was a known tax avoidance scheme for employed shareholders of a business to extract profits in the form of a “shareholder loan”, which in effect operated as a tax free dividend to shareholders. While successive Governments have tried to curb this avoidance measure over time, including through amendments to the Companies Act 2006 to include Section 455 and it’s related clauses, a number of issues remain. Firstly, the existing anti-avoidance measure fails to tackle loans of less than £15,000, which is not an insignificant amount of money on which tax should otherwise be due. Therefore this Bill reduces that threshold to £5,000 in line with other tax legislation to ensure that only trivial loans which would be expected in the normal course of business (e.g corporate credit cards) are incurred. Secondly, despite the anti-avoidance legislation a tax avoidance known as “bed and breakfasting” remains prevalent - these transactions are carried out around the end of the accounting period to prevent the loans etc appearing on the company’s Balance Sheet but it may also be done around the date which is 9 months after the end of the accounting period as that is the trigger date for liability to the charge, thereby meaning that a temporary repayment of the same loan and the return of these funds 9 months after the end of the accounting period mean that the funds remain not taxable on a technicality. Finally, given shareholder loans are not subject to interest, even if these loans are eventually repaid the present value of the loan value will be lower when such profit is formally extracted and therefore taxed by HMRC, which the legislation fails to prevent. To tackle these issues, this Bill also creates a measure in which any repaid loans made within 2 years of a previous loan being made are treated as though the original loan remained outstanding, and therefore taxable under the Section 455 clause of the Companies Act.
It is the position of Her Majesty’s Government that shareholders must extract profit from their business through a legally authorised and taxable dividend, and we will do everything in our power to remove the opportunities for avoidance.
In combination with the other two pieces of anti-avoidance legislation I will be/have submitted to the House, these measures are collectively expected to raise £3.4 billion. I’ve been living with my partner for close to 5 years in a small flat. We have a wonderful relationship and I’m certain he’s the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Since the pandemic, we’ve both been working from home (him in one room, me another) and Im starting to need more time to myself.
Both our “office” rooms are living space, used for other things and while I do go out on my own, I never get any time just me in the flat when I’m not working (he’s occasionally in the office). I also struggle with leaving the house sometimes and while it does give me a little headspace, I have nowhere to go where I can just be “me” without other people around.
I work long hours and have a tendency to get so focused on work that I have less time to spend with him (never intentionally, but I can work until 10pm on some busier days). As a result, he already feels like we don’t spend enough quality time together; especially as it often takes me time to decompress after work. I am starting to feel a constant pressure to be “present” and it’s impacting my overall mental health (I have a history of depression).
I think some space occasionally would help me gather my own thoughts so that I can focus on him when we are together, but have no idea how to approach this without making him feel kicked out of his own house or unloved.
Any advice would be really appreciated! If I’m being unfair to my partner please tell me, I’m looking for honest feedback and if this request is too much or unfair, I need to know so I can approach it differently.

I agreed to meet the father and kids because I thought it would help me with my decision and also I wanted to discuss the pay again. I scripted out what I would say on my way there, including how a nanny is not a daycare service so I cannot be paid a day rate - especially if the kids cannot attend daycare for any reason or if I have extra tasks to do (such as grocery shopping and chores). When I got to the house, we sat down and I told him all of this and that I would charge $100 nightly and $18/hr for when the kids are up, anytime I am with them or bringing them to daycare, etc, and when I am doing other tasks for them. He was APPALLED. I stood my ground really well and I was really proud of myself for that, especially because I tend to get nervous speaking with fathers. He went on for about 30 mins to talk badly about his ex-wife in front of the KIDS (🚩) and saying how she has taken everything from him and he has constantly sent her money and bought her a house, etc etc, and he has no support because his previous nanny broke her legs?? (🚩) Then he says, “but y’know, women.” (🚩!!!) I could not believe he said that to me and I just remained stone-faced and unsure how to leave the situation. I was worried if I told him I couldn’t take the job, he would beg for me to stay. He also mentioned that his ex has been messaging the other nannies he has been speaking to and telling them to stay away and not work for him (🚩) because she doesn’t want him in the kids’ lives. He starts to bring up pay again and asking if we could agree on a day rate but I told him that my rate remains what it is. I tried to explain to him that this is the cost of a nanny and he’s asking for someone to do a lot and not have a day off either so it’s a very uncommon situation. Whenever I explained anything to him, he looked at me with a look I can only describe as puzzled and suspicious. It was as if he couldn’t believe a woman like myself knew her worth. He brought out the calculator and paper and wrote out the hours I would likely be working plus the overnight pay and he would just say out loud how much it would be a day, and I would respond with yes, that’s what you’re looking at. After a long silence of him contemplating how much childcare costs, he said “okay, pencil me in, I’ll pay what I have to pay, and I’ll let you know tomorrow what the court says and if I get to keep the children.” Also he got a couple tinder notifications pop up on his phone during our interview (🚩 this man is clearly not emotionally stable and if he is dumping his issues onto me, a stranger in her 20s, he’s more than likely dumping it onto whoever he’s seeing but ANYWAY…) It took me so long to exit the house because he kept bringing up more things about the ex, and then he said to the kids “isn’t she nice?” And the youngest said “yeah I like her!” Which just makes me so sad for these kids’ situation. But I know it’s not my responsibility. At 10pm last night he messaged me, “hope I didn’t scare you away lol ?” (🚩) And I have not responded yet, nor do I know if I should. Needless to say, even if he says he’ll pay my rate, this job is too crazy to be worth it. Plus he doesn’t want to make a contract so he might not even actually pay me, and there are too many uncertainties.
TL;DR - Met with a father about an overnight gig for 2-3 weeks while he works offshore, he was misogynistic, mentally unstable, and probably going to lose his kids. Not taking the job!!!

My FWB (of a year) from 6 months ago allowed me to stay at their place now while I’m in between places and settling back in town.
I didn’t know that he was seeing other people but also assumed not because he’s leaving the country in 2 months. If I’m honest I thought we could potentially have some fun as well.
He tells me yesterday that he will have someone he’s seeing over tomorrow (today) and I get the hint and it kind of bothered me that he didn’t give me a heads up before I moved my things over and am now stuck with the awkwardness.
What makes it worse is that he was describing what they would be doing (going for a run and then hanging out after for a bite and movie) with times of 7pm run and then they’ll be out by 10pm, aka I’ll be in the clear to come back so it doesn’t get weird.
I may be reading into this but I was wfh today and he had come back early afternoon and was making small talk with me about the weather being really hot. Later on he basically said that he’s going for a swim and when I asked aren’t you going for a run soon, he said it’s too hot for a run and that it’s cancelled but the date would be coming over at 6pm. Aka I get the hint and I need to vacate.
Several things are annoying me: 1. Not letting me know he’s seeing someone and giving me the option of deciding whether I still want to stay 2. Telling me a day before him having confirmed plans of his new date coming over and subjecting me to such an awkward position 3. Changing the times arranged (I was still working up til 530pm) and forcing me out basically because I’m not that shameless
I just feel gross right now. What would you do?

Context: hotel is hosting a middle school field trip on a holiday weekend. Chaperones did the thing where they put masking tape on the doors to detect which kids are sneaking out of the rooms.
This group comes around the tail end of my shift around 10pm from spending a day from taking in sites and a theme park. Their chaperones decide to have a pizza party, but rather than host the party in our lobby, they opt to distribute the pizzas from one of the rooms. The plan was to have the kids come by in small groups and bring the pizza back to their assigned rooms.
And the kids all behaved themselves and no noise complaints were made...
So, one guest made at least 3 complaints by my count (2 near the end of my shift, and 1 at the start of night audit...fun times). The constant here was that he could hear kids running down the halls, yelling, banging on doors, and he assured me that he was able to see kids through his peephole. I went up to see what the fuss was about. There wasn't much to see other than maybe 3 kids roaming the halls at the time, and the chaperones handing out pizza through an open door. Had a word with them...that was about all I could do.
All the guest had to do was maybe wait it out, and that would be it.
The final complaint was the 1 at the start of night audit. At that point, a few of the chaperones left the hotel to grab a couple of drinks (can't blame them). So, of course I went up to see if any kids were roaming the halls. The hallways were in fact empty and all the kids were sealed away in their rooms. I swear this on Buttercup's horn (sorry u/SkwrlTail).
I had one final word with the guest, and assured him that should be the end of it. He still insisted that he saw kids running the halls at the time. I was out of responses, and out of patience, and simply stated that I would hand off this complaint to management. According to night audit, there haven't been any additional noise complaints since I left. I anticipate AM having to field complaints, not just with this guest.
Which leads me back to the title - I'm curious as to how effective the tape really is, because I had a word with one of the kids to keep the noise down in the room. The kid opened the door and broke the seal. So, I'm thinking that the guest was either ego tripping or I'm giving these kids a lot more credit for being sneaky.
Retrospect - I don't know what I could have done differently to resolve the issue. I'm stuck on the mindset of preventing the complaint. The only dining area we have would be in our lobby. I wouldn't mind a loud lobby, but I'm not sure what issues would have come from it. I could've done a better job explaining the pizza distribution was happening on the same floor the guest was on; maybe appeal to his sensibilities and politely ask for his patience.
And although I can agree with the guest that there really isn't any reason why these kids should be so unruly, I highly doubt he's familiar with the concept of middle school kids full of churros and hormones.
